need help converting files to MP3 for my E815

newbie as far as posting, but spent months reading your comments prior to buying E815 (your comments convinced me e815 was the way to go). thanks for all your comments.
waiting for my new 1GB TransFlash card to arrive.....
but in the meantime...needing some ideas on how to convert music i had previously burned (6-8 mo. ago) from my factory-recorded CD's onto Real Player program (that I have burned my own CD's with), long before I bought this phone. I probably have 200-300 individual tracks, but hope there is a way I can just convert any of those from Real Player files to MP3, then just download onto my TransFlash card. I am hoping I do not have to re-rip all of these, as it took many hours over several months to build this collection. ...

First off, this phone looks awesome. Secondly, I noticed on their site it is listed as being compatable with gsm networks AND wcdma...is there a difference between cdma and wcdma??

Anyways, check it out, sweet phone:

Verizon Razr V3c: reprocible security flaw

I can finally post the sequence of events that will result in the Unlock Screen being bypassed on the Razr V3, offering the user a fully unctional phone without having to enter the phone's passcode. This assumes you have passcode protection on your phone:

1. Turn the device off.

2. Send the device an SMS message.

3. After waiting long enough that message to get to your device, turn the device back on.

4. When the Unlock Screen displays, don't enter anything. Just wait until the SMS message arrives.

The phone will now be unlocked with no user imput. This works with all software versions for this phone.

One note further, in case it matters. I have a Home Screen Banner consisting of my cell phone number. The reason I mention t...

E815 skins help

okay, I'm using P2k Commander to move new skins to my 815. I'm running into an odd issue. I'll use it to make a folder "test" i get a generic failure. the folder doesn't show up when I look in the phones directories, but it lists "test" as an option on the skins menu. how do I get rid of it? I've tried flexing it out "del_dir_test.hs" but it's still there. Is there a file that keeps a registry of your skins?

551 - SIM PIN question

I just got a Motorola 551 phone (Cingular). Under Settings, Security, there are two items I have a question on:

1. SIM PIN - what does this do?
2. Under New Passwords, I have an option SIM PIN2. I tried entering the last four digits of my phone number and now it appears I have one more try left before my SIM deactivates. How do I know what the SIM PIN2 number is?

Thanks

Motorola Phones Suck!!!

The last motorola phone that deserved to have the name motorola on it was the timeport/startac and that was a long time ago... it was very well made good reception, good features, overall was a good strong dependable phone. whatever they did in manufacturing or whatever the change since that phone was made has plummeted into oblivion!

I'm not going to lie but i think the new thin line of phones (q, razr, slvr, etc) have the potential to be some of the best phones you can possibly ask for i think they are awesome as hell looking emphasis on "looking" but the phones are pieces of sh*t (excluding the Q not sure if it will turn things around or not) and yes the razr is one of the hottest if not the hottest cell phone ever made but other than ...

v.262 + bluetooth adapter pairing issue

Hi there,

I purchased a Motorola bluetooth adapter for my v.262 and I'm having a problem pairing it with my handsfree earpiece. When I try to pair them it says that "to complete the pairing with the device the phone must be put into a search discovery mode." Can anyone help me figure out where I change this?

Thanks,
Juelze

V3 Cingular - Push to talk?

Is it possible for the V3 to be upgraded (software) to run on Push to Talk? If so, is there a plan to do this within Cingular? Being that the V3 is their best selling phone, I would think that they would like to grab a large part of that market on a reoccurring ptt fee rather then have them upgrade (downgrade) to a different phone. My guess is that they would get a much smaller piece of the market by forcing them to change phones.

Sanyo SCP-6000 is thinner than SLVR!!

The Sanyo 6000 is 10 mm thin. The Motorola SLVR is 11 mm. Sanyo made a slimmer phone in 2002 than Motorola Made in 2006! 😲

Authorization Error. Installation Failed.

I am tryingf to install an app on my phone that I have had on my phone before. I had to do a master reset and clear on my V3i to clean the phone up. Now whenever I try to install this app, I get Authorization Error. Any ideas?

I have reset and cleared this thing so many times I am at a loss. I have checked all web session settings and I have made sure nothing (as for as I know) is out of place.

SLVR L7..buy or not?

Hi,
I would like some advice from people out there.I'm not from America but, I need to get new phone and i was considering purchasing the Motorola Slvr l7. Many of my friends have Razrs or Pebls and none so far have the slvr which is why i was thinkin about buying it.

I was wondering if anyone can give me some good feedback as to if this is a good option or if i should consider buying something else.

Phones in my country are really expensive and i was also wondering how much of a difference there is between the L6 and L7 beside the iTunes. The L6 is way cheaper, but if the L7 is considerably/way better than the L6, then i wouldn't mind adding the extra money to get it. However, if they are more or less the same, then i can go ahead a...

Lost memory cover on SLVR, where to get replacement???

Memory cover went flying off to somewhere in my kitchen, no idea where it went! Called Moto, they say it's not a part that I can buy.

Any idea on how to get a replacement memory cover? Surely I'm not the only person to have lost one!!

miniSD doesn't "click" in Motorola Q?

So I got a Motorola Q after all. I like it so far, but my miniSD card doesn't latch or lock into the slot. It has a spring that pushes it out, but my Sanyo phone had a distinct "click" when I inserted a miniSD card. I get nothing but spring resistance on my Motorola Q. So when I close the rubber door/flap, the card presses against it and the door bows out. The phone won't even recognize my miniSD card unless I hold the rubber flap closed with my finger and press it inward. Does your miniSD card "click" into your Motorola Q? Or does it just "float" like mine? I'm thinking about returning or exchanging it.
