pebl bluetooth problems

Hi, I've a new PEBL (UK, unlocked) and it works great however bluetooth seems to have issues. I have two cars (toyota and honda) with the respective original bluetooth kits.
With the honda, the PEBL can successfully pair, but then if you exit the car and get in again, the connection cannot be reestablished and you have to do the manual pairing again (ofcourse the phone is configured with bluetooth ALWAYS on and automatic connection).
With the toyota, the pabl cannot pair at all.
Note that both cars works all0right with other phones.
Any ideas on how to fix the PEBL (looks like software issue to me)?

Phone Tools 4.21 and MultiMedia Media

Hi All

I have a V3c with Verizon. I have the Motorola Phone Tools at v4.21a. I found a previous thread which said "just selected menu, setup, general setup, communication, and then selected change modem (make sure you check the box so it will not automatically select the v3c). Change the phone to the v3cm and viola, you get Multimedia Studio."

However I dont get the option of v3cm. If anyone has any info on how I can transfer music files and pictures between phone and PC I would be grateful

Thanks in advance

L2 Setup

I have an L2 originally programmed for Rodgers Wireless in Toronto Canada. My provider is Cingular in the Philadelphia Area. If I had access to another L2 that was programmed to Cingular in this area is it possible to wipe out the memory of the Rodgers Unit and reprogram it with the information in the Cingular Unit (I believe you call it Flexing and/or Flashing)? Is there any structural differences between Motorola L2's coming out of Motorola? I believe this would solve some issues I am having with the unit, such as reception and button use (this one is set up for Push-To-Talk while Cingular states thiers is not). Include any programs needed as well as instructions for a rookie such as myself. I have performed upgrading Flashes to a PPC befo...

Can v325 record ringtones?

I'd like a simpler ringtone on my Verizon v325. I found in an old post the advice to 'just record one', which I take to mean I can do that on the phone somehow. I don't find anything in the manual regarding this, nor do I find any reference to 'voice recording' which sometimes is referred to in descriptions of this phone. Am I missing something? Thanks.

L2 Configuration

I just obtained a L2 and have some questions. In various areas on the Web I have noticed that the side buttons were configured to activate Voice Calling and Volume. The side buttons on this one activate Phone Book and PTT features. I am part of the Cingular Network (not PTT or Pre-Paid) and the Phone originated in Canada assumably configured to a service provider in that Country. Can the L2 be configured to different applications? I also notice that the Reception Quality is less than desirable. My previous V600 has superior performance even though much older and my daughter's Sony (even older) is better than either Motorola. I need a phone with Bluetooth but can not have a Camera (security reasons at work). The phone settings are as follows:...

Operator Settings

Does anyone know where I can get the operator settings for a motorola phone sent to my phone? Similar to how you can do this with a Sony Ericsson or nokia phone by going to the respective web sites. I tried going to motorola.com and can find nothing

Text Messages for Voicemail Alert??

I recently became a T-mobile subscriber and have an odd problem. My RAZR V3 and V3i notify me of new voicemails with text messages containing strange symbols (@, *, etc.) I don't get voicemail notification with these phones, only weird text messages. I tried a few different t-mobile SIM cards; all had the same result. Strange thing is the moto's only do this with a T-mobile SIM card inserted. If I use a Cingular SIM card I receive voicemail notification properly in both phones. How do I receive voicemail notification, rather than text messages when I receive a new voicemail? If it helps, both of my RAZR's are factory direct, unbranded, and unlocked. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

What determines voice quality?

I have a new Verizon Motorola V325 tri-band phone which I'm happy with. The voice quality is normally fine, although to the critical ear it's obviously digitized. Every so often, however, the caller sounds even more so, bordering on garbled but still understandable. Two calls in particular come to mind, one from a satellite phone and another from the UK. I assume my phone is fine because most calls are OK. I'm theorizing that the more digital hops a call has to go through the more the voice is processed and reprocessed, and the less smooth (analog like) it becomes?? What are the various factors that effect the call quality? Thanks

motorola v360 and micro SD card: can't read mp3s

Not all mp3s behave this way. But the phone seems to have problems reading most of them...half way through or even earlier it will tell me that it failed and asks me whether i want to delete the file, it tells me it's damaged... After that it wont read any file from the SD anymore, the only way is to opo out the SD and pop it back in.
ive tried converting the file to mono...but that didnt help...tried changing folders...tried a few things...to no avail..

anyone with the same problem?

thx

concerning stereo bluetooth

Advanced Audio Distribution Profile or A2DP is not available on SLVR. It is the profile that allows streaming audio from phone to headset. The KRZR and RIZR does or will support the profile according to the specs read on Phonescoop.

My question is, is there any hope or any way that there will be an option to upgrade the software for the SLVR to include A2DP as a supported bluetooth profile?

I am currently very happy with the SLVR and although I've yet to see the KRZR (clamshell)and RIZR (slider), I believe I'd still choose the SLVR over the two, because I prefer the (candybar). Anyway...I'd really like to go wireless when I listen to music. So hopefully there is a way to upgrade to A2DP

V190 - How to manually delete unknown callers from received calls list?

Is there a way -- I can't find one -- to delete from the Received Calls list those phone numbers not already in my personal phonebook? I can hit "Delete" to get rid of those from people in my phonebook, but all others remain on the list. Motorola instructions say that those will "fall off the list," so to speak, when replaced by more recent calls, but I just want to get rid of that irrelevant clutter. Is there a way anyone has found?
