convert text message (sms) to email

I am looking for a service that will allow incoming text messages to be converted to email messages that will then come to my website. I can not find a service that provides this. I know that you can easily email a text message, but I am trying to do the opposite: find a way of letting people send text messages to a cell phone number and have them forwarded as emails to my website. Any ideas?

Samsung X660 unable to execute #*536963# Java Serial Download

Hi. I have a Samsung SGH-X660 I want to transfer some Java Applications, I have the USB cable to transfer files.
I downloaded
* Softick PPP 2.21 and
* Java Uploader

I've followed all instructions I've found on Internet and I need to enable JAVA SERIAL DOWNLOAD using this code #*536963#
but my phone doesn't let me to execute this code.
It always says NOT DONE.

Is there any other code that I need to execute to be able to execute #*536963#, or my phone doesn't recognize this code?
Do I have to use any other code?

What's the code I need to enable Java Serial Download on a Samsung SGH-X660?

Also I can't execute #*5737425# for Java Serial Menu

Thanks a lot.

Phone Scoop's Database of Phones by Carrier

Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to get access to Phone Scoop's database perhaps in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format of phones by carrier with ringtone format compatibility for each type of phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Phones for people w/ Disabilities

I worked with people with various disabilities.
I am always getting calls to identify cell
technology that is accessible for people with
disabilities.

Do you know of any cell phones currently on the market that have larger screen or ability to magnify text, or have auditory feedback when you depress a button (phone voices what was pushed)

or larger buttons/raised buttons.

Thank you for help

Looking for a phone spec DB

Hey guys.
I'm developing a new site, and I'm looking for a phone database - basically all I need is Make, Model, Screen Size / Colours, etc etc.

Does anyone know where I can get one? The info should be freely available, but I'm having troubles chasing it down 🙂

Thanks!

sony ericson w810i personal ringtones and function

Does anybody know how to make it so that you can create your own ringtones from quicktime or other files. I opened some of my fav songs from itunes in quicktime and trimmed the first 30 secs to be ringtone options and dropped them into the ringtone folder on my w810i when it was plugged into my comp. they are there but can not be set as ringtones or even played. I can do it for my older phone so I don't see why i shouldn't be able to do it for this newer one with better technology. Thanks for any help. J3N

Free Version of Cell Phone Access to your PC for all 2007

Hi,

We're working with Adondo Corporation, on their new "Call and Talk to Your Own PC" interface.
If anyone is interested in reallly new cutting edge applications, Adondo Corp. has released a Lite version that's free for all of 2007, of their Personal Audio link (PAL) technology.

PAL assigns a local telephone number to your PC, quickly and easily
(no user forms, no bother) and you can then call your PC for information from any phone
- especially cell phones!

You can:

1. Manage Outlook - Hear emails, reply to emails, file emails, create_&_dictate emails using simple voice commands and/or Touch Tones from any phone, any time.;

2. Get instant traffic reports, (and change your location on the fly); using simple voice commands...

Suggestion for phone designers: Hangup-button lighting

One thing that would be nice to have on mobile phones is to have the hangup button always lit during a call, so even in a dark vehicle the user can easily find the hangup button to end a call. I understand the need to conserve battery by dimming or turning off the keypad after a few seconds; that makes perfect sense. But if just the hangup button alone could reamin lit during a call, it would use so little battery no one would notice the loss, and it would make it much easier to end a call when driving after dark. Just a thought for you forward-thinking phone designers & developers. 🙂

Treo Smartphone and the Macintosh

I am going to buy one of the smartphones, but I want to know beforehand if it will be compatible with my Macintosh ibook to the extent that it will hotsync my itunes, icalendar, iphoto and my email address book. I want to simplify things - have one phone that is compatible with my computer.
This is my first time on the forum, so please be patient with me if I've put this in the wrong spot or the answer is elsewhere.
Thanks, everyone.

Playing saved video

How soon can we expect Smartphones to have the ability to play AVI, DIVX, MPG, etc...?

Or do they already have this ability? I always read about phones having the ability to play streaming video, but I would like to store shows that I have recorded to mpg to my phone to watch at my leisure. I have never read about phones doing this, and I would think this would be a big plus, that the phone retailers would skip over if the ability was present.

I have a few neat apps. Check out MobiPod, a mobile podcast service that lets you receive full length video and audio podcasts to your phone: mobipod.britcaster.com

Also, check out my mobile user generated site, launched with smaller Youtube-like service

on smart phones/pda phones that run off windows mobil, why not just make a fullyloaded one?

on with wifi, bluetooth,WAP/web browser, everything? its obviously possable because some of them already come close; and don't say it would cost a lot more because i compared features on a whole bunch of them and to fill in the gaps wouldn't be that hard. so why cant we, or are we in the process or what?

thanks
