Hey Rich hows the progress going on programming in moderators for the forums??

Anyone have the unlock code to Cingular Lg?

I've been using the old StarTac with a ClipOn organizer and love it. I can sync all the information from Outlook, including that note section in contacts, and dial right from the Organizer.

So, I need a new phone and it looks like maybe the V600 or the MPX200 or something like that. I don't want a huge PDA phone.

What phone out there will sync really well to Outlook? Motorola gives me conflicting information. I really need the 'notes' section of my 'contacts' to come over.

What are some of the new things you are going to add to this site that are "higher" on your to do list? A new look to it? More features?...I'm just wonderin, cuz I come to this site all the time.

Maybe you could personalize it and have different templates and backrounds! That would be cool.

I am doing some research and would like to find all handsets that support mono/polyphonic ringtones but find that my search results with that criteria only return 20 results. Is it possible to get the full list?

Sorry for the site being so sluggish today. We've been Slashdotted 😲, although speed hasn't been all that great lately anyway.

Rest assured I am working on a number of things to remedy the situation.

Heya Richy, I just felt the urge to give a warm hearted, and much needed thanks for the website. You don't know HOW much AWS Care reps I see around me use Phonescoop.com instead of their internal database to find information due to its convenience (and availability for pictures ALONG with reviews and what phones offer!). Although this is far from official, just a little lowly rep giving a kudos, I hope it means something! 😁

There's now a "Preview" button when you post messages. This is so you can make sure quoting, HTML, links, line breaks, etc. will display the way you expect.

This isn't a huge new feature, but hopefully it will come in handy once in a while. 🙂

Oh, and I also fixed it so that it won't send you a notification e-mail if you reply to yourself. 😉

It's that time of year again, and unfortunately, I still haven't gotten around to making the site smart about daylight savings time. 🤭

It's easy to fix, though - just log in, go to "Your Account", and update your time setting at the bottom. Sorry for the hassle!

first off sorry about posting in the wrong forum, but i wanted an answer from you, and not the rest of the world.

could you please explain the difference between cdma and wcdma. its an ongoing argument in several forums. it is my understanding that the two are similar. however wcdma is an actual 3g format, whereas cdma is actually a 2.5g format. people seem to think that because verizon currenty usses cdma that they can do a simple upgrade to wcdma. if you wouldnt mind a clarification on this would appreciated.

This site is such a great source of information and news within the wireless industry...

I was thinking maybe adding a "coming soon" type page for phones that are coming out for each carrier.

Example: T-Mobile (Nokia 6600, Treo 600, etc)
Verizon (Moto V710, etc)

It would be an easier way for customers to see whats on the horizon for their respective wireless carrier.

Any opinions would be helpful... I like the 8900 but it just isnt loud enough. My g/f has the LG and hers is blasting I love it.. ring wise... but LG has no speakerphone I heard. I like the camera on both but the 8900 has a much crisp and clearer screen. I know the 8900 has 128 Flash memory which I dont know what the LG6000 has. Which phone has more memory for storing ringtones and pictures. I hear the 8900 has better reception... but then i hear the LG has better.. but more dropped calls. Just wondering if anyone can list some really really good things about each phone... and some really really really bad things about each phone.. its important.. i only have 10 days left to return the AUdiovox 8900. thanks

I have been coming to this site for information for a few months now - it's awesome. If I have one major complaint however it is that you don't include any information on PC connection cards. You cannot be in this industry without selling these. All of the carriers sell them and the industry is moving more and more toward data applications to go with the voice applications just like telecom went from providing local and long distance to data solutions. Where can I go for information on cards for comparisons, news, reviews, etc.?

I am in the market of buying a new cell phone and i have 2 in mind. Samsung SCH-a610, or the Kyocera SE47. I would like as much feedback as possible on which phone i should go with and why. Thank you very much for your help.

Internet browser version is 3.0 so that I cannot browse most of the websites. I called Verizon about this and they asked me to look around the net to find the solution.

do anyone how to browse or upgrade the browser version so that I can visit different websites.
