ACTIVATION AND UPGRADE FEE

Why do carriers charge for an upgrade fee when we extend our contract with them? I think its too much already because we've already paid the activation fee when we got a new phone, so why do I need to pay for another upgrade fee just to stay with them?

Jailbreaking?

As we all know jailbreaking is illegal. But there is a process that is legal. It is on the tip of my tongue and can't get the name for anything. Do any of you guy know the name of the process and how to do the process? So I can open all possible apps functions of. And if you do how do I go about proceeding so I can get the most out of my phone. I am using the Apple iPhone 3GS by the way. Thanks in advance.

Thinking of switching ?

So I was suckered into Sprint's unlimited data, only to find out that I made a big mistake. What good is unlimited data if I can't use it half the time or it is slow as hell, I still don't have 4G in my area. So I wanted to know if I were to switch to Verizon, would there be anyway that I could get the unlimited data ?

Upgrade - Razr Maxx HD or wait?

I have a Motorola Droid X2 and really have no problems with it. My upgrade is available though and it wouldn't be right for me to just let it sit there. My wife has the Samsung Galaxy S III, and while it is nice, it feels a little light (like the heavier phone) to me.

So, I was looking at the Moto Razr Maxx HD. The phone looks really good, and the reviews all seem positive. My question is, since it has been out for about 5 months, should I wait just another month or two for a different phone that may be even better.

Problem is, I don't see any other phones out there that are "coming soon" that I'd have to have. The only other phone I've read about was the LG Optimus G, but that isn't on Verizon, and I have not seen the LG Optimus ...

Upgrade time.

What do you guys think? Have an Incredible, thinking I may just make the leap and get the iphone 5. Possibly stay with Android and the Rarz Maxx? I don't want a phablet like the Galazy 3.

Thoughts?

VZW MMS on Androids

I've seen this before on Android phones I've used with Verizon. When you receive a picture (MMS) it plays it like a mini movie and you can't pinch to zoom or anything.
How do you get an Android phone to handle MMS's like every other phone?
If someone sends a picture that's to small you can't enlarge it.

Verizon Price Increase RIPOFF!!

In December, I wanted to get a LG Touch for my daughter for Christmas and I was told that I had to wait until February due to my upgrade subscription. Now I have 4 phones ready to upgrade and they want to charge me an extra $9.99 per phone because they demand a data charge. This is unacceptable! It's the same phone that was sold in December without the extra charge.

It appears that Verizon wants me to take my family plan (5 phones) and my $180.00 a month to another company. I have been with them for over 9 years and they are willing to lose a loyal customer because they refuse to adjust this extra charge.

I have called every day for the last 5 days and no one is willing to help. I'm respectful to the agents, the Supervisors say th...

Knack or Coupe? Which is best for an elderly parent?

My mother is on the VZW family share plan and calls me frequently but sometimes she really wants my brother. I think it's because she can't see the keys or the display well enough. I noticed that VZW is marketing two different phones to senior citizens, the Samsung Knack and the UTStarcom Coupe. Mom doesn't use any features other than voice calls. No surfing, e-mail, video, text messages, etc. Any ideas about which would be the best option?

Business is ALWAYS personal.

" Verizon’s faster data networks also cause users to eat through their data allowances more quickly. This eventually prompts them to buy more expensive plans with higher data caps, which of course net Verizon even more cash."

Brilliant! Simply BRILLIANT! I do believe Mr. Shammo deserves a RAISE!

Billing issues on data overages

☹️
In the last couple of weeks I have seen Verizon customer getting huge bills for data overages that I suspect is wrong.

Is Verizon Wireless having issues in the Tampa Florida region with bill on the data devices?

phone deal?

Just bought a Droid m for $1... if you have a hhgregg near you they are having a sale.. tons of models at $1 and may come with UP TO a $200 hhgregg gift card. If you want a droid 3.... lol

You can get a nexus, rezound and a few others for a $1 and then get $100 gift card to their store. Tried to talk the wife into the Rezound, but she liked the size of the m. Me personally, rocking an Incredible 1, can't upgrade just yet.

I know they are not out west, but it is an electronics store out of Indiana.

What do you think of the DNA... I think that is my next phone.

Dear Verizon

You people reported me for saying and I quote "what now bitch" and I don't understand. I didn't say this to anyone in particular. In fact it was all a matter of fact like I was just saying for no reason, I wasn't talking to anyone ok. This verizon forum is super sensitive. Now that last sentence was directed to the general forum populous, unlike my "what now bitch" statement. I'm pretty mad that someone would misconstrue that and take personal offense. How can you even take offense? Really makes me mad, mad that I got in trouble for something I never did.

That is all, wish I could report whoever reported me, I would report you as being a jerk and violating the TOU

HTC Incredible

I guess I have to face the obvious: the original HTC Incredible is simply a better phone than the Rezound and apparently the Galaxy S3. I have owned the Incredible for over three years now and I have owned the Rezound and then recently the GSIII and the sound quality for other callers is simply better on the Incredible. I am giving up on trying to understand how this can be. Now I simply need to decide on whether I simply want to cancel the GSIII line or not.
