iPhone 4s to HTC DNA

I have an iPhone 4s on Verizon that I was given as a company phone. I would much rather use an android phone as that is what I am used to having for the past few years. If I buy the HTC DNA at full price from amazon, can I just take the sim out of my 4s and put it in the DNA to switch over to it? Will this work with any of the new Verizon phones that take sim cards?

Not digging the phablets

Hey All,

I'm eligible for my upgrade in Feb. and I can not even begin to tell you how much these massive screens annoy me. I've been an android user for years but am thinking about switching over to the iphone simply because of the screen size issue.

That said, are there any other phones you think I should consider and if not and I do go with apple, jump in to the 5 now or wait a few more months and see if there is a 5s or 6?

Thanks

Fringe 4G area and RAZR HD/iPhone 5

So where I work there are VZW 3G & 1XRTT repeaters. I tried out the RAZR HD and it latches onto 1-2 bars of 4G and is virtually useless. No data, no nothing and I can't get it to switch to 3G which obviously I'd get full bars.

I was wondering if the iPhone 5 is better at switching to the stronger signal in the area? Or if it's radio would act the same as the RAZR's...any 4G signal takes priority?

iPhone to Android reset iMessages.

Any help with this would be appreciated?

Going from an iPhone which I was using iMessages to an Android. ATT seems to reset and go back to regular texts no problem. But on Verizon texts don't go through either way.

I have to have another Verizon iPhone user turn off their iMessages, we swap texts, then they can turn iMessages back on. Then texts start to flow between the two OS's just fine.

Why doesn't the network pick this up without having the iPhone user going through all that mess, and go back to regular texts like ATT's does?

Puerto Rico service with Razr Maxx vs Samsung GalaxySIII

I have a Razr Maxx & can only get 1X service. My friend has the Samsung Galaxy SIII and he is getting 3G service. Verizon tech support after reviewing all my settings, feels that the antenna on the SIII may be stronger at picking up 3G. Another year in P.R. with INFERIOR service. Perhaps ATT is calling me. Any advice.

Recommend an inexpensive phone for upgrade?

Hi All,

I'm looking for a new phone and don't care about it being the newest. I just want a solid phone with decent battery life and to say goodbye to the bugs I find with my Droid X2. Battery life sucks, icons disappear randomly, doesn't always connect to the internet, turns off by itself, etc. An easy to type on keyboard wouldn't hurt.

Any ideas?

Upgrade Question

I am now on the fence...Was gonna get the Rezound but was reading some mixed reviews on it....Then I saw the Windows 8 phone and was contemplating that. Finally there are a few phones Verizon is offering for $70 or less....Thoughts on whats available for that price when upgrading?

Thanks

Verizon LG vx8100 speakerphone function

Hello one and all, and a happy new year to you and yours!

Here's my problem...I recently switched to my daughter's discarded Verizon LG vx8100 flip top cellphone and even without the equipment manual or guide (which I've been trying to find to download), I can't get the much needed speakerphone enabled. I see that it is located by symbol on the CLR button, but it does not turn on...the CLR button on backs up or erases.

Help with this issue would be a blessing, as I am not able to manually hold the phone. Thanks in advance!

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and was wondering if this phone is still relative in the sense that is it worth getting? I like the price for my upgrade ($70) and even though it might not have all the cool bells and whistles as the newer phones is it still worth it?

Thanks

Nokia 920 vs. Samsung Galaxy 3.

Verizon will likely get the Nokia 920 sometime in the new year, is my understanding. If you were choosing between the Nokia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy III, which would you choose and why? Thank you for any information you may provide. -Chuck-

Verizon Employees- Help!!!

Need some help/info. Currently I have a Motorola Razr with an unlimited data plan. I just tried to upgrade to the Motorola M and was told that I would lose my unlimited data plan. Is this true?

I thought the only folks with an unlimited plan would lose it if they were coming from a 3G device or going to the iPhone 5. Am I incorrect? The rep said this changed sometime in June 2012.....

I appreciate anyone who can shed some light on this for me. Thank you and Happy Holidays to all!!!!

Don't Park by Verizon Store

My local Verizon store has a booster in the store to make it look like the 4G service is great. If you park a car that has keyless entry and start close to the store, the booster will interfere with the fob and your car will not start. You have to push your car away from the building to get it to start. The employees act like they know nothing about it. More deception by the BS company!!!!!

HTC Rezound

So I have an Incredible and a Rezound and the audio on the Rezound sounds like I am underwater. Any idea what's going on? No one wants to talk to me unless I call them back on the Incredible.

Tech support had me erase phone storage and then told me not to install any apps or restore my apps to see if that fixes the trick. It didn't. Now they are sending me a new Sim Card. He says my old one might be corrupted and causing the problem.

Unlocked Apple iPhone

I read that Apple is now selling an unlocked iPhone 5. Previously, I read that all iPhone 5s working on the Verizon network are unlocked. What, if anything, is the difference between the new unlocked iPhones and the regular iPhones working on the Verizon network purchased with a Verizon contract, other than the contract and price?

Question about transferring upgrade eligibility

I have a family plan with two lines. The primary line is eligible for a discounted upgrade at the end of December while the secondary line is already eligible. I plan to transfer the eligibility from the second line to the primary so I can upgrade now. My question is what happens to the upgrade discount on the primary line? Does it transfer to the second line? Also, might the NE2 discount still exist on the primary line, and if so is there a way to find out online? TIA

Corporate stores don't know about new phone releases?

I went to a couple of corporate stores today wanting to confirm they would have the Droid DNA on the 21st (it's official release date) and neither one knew anything about it. They just said if the phone was released they would "most likely" have them. One manager added they don't know about releases until 24 hours beforehand. So I'm wondering how can this be? I thought the stores trained up their people on new phones days in advance so they were ready to demonstrate them. It doesn't make any sense.

Need a new Verizon compatible phone, suggestions?

My Droid X is slowly dying and I need to get a new smart phone that will work with Verizon. I don't want to do another 2 year contract with Verizon though.. What are my options for a good 4G smartphone that won't break the bank? Some of these chinese phones look pretty slick but I doubt I could just buy one and use it right, like this one:

Sony Smart Watch

Not really a VZW product, but is advertised on their site. Not spam, copypasta from android forum because Im trying to get a response in time for christmas. Thanks in advance.

Anyone else heard of/ seen this? Seems like it might be okay. The reviews on Verizon are 50/50. I dont trust the reviews on there anyway. Any input on this product? THink it might be a decent christmas gift, but I dont want to give someone crap.
