Verizon and Slider Phones

Will Verizon ever come out with a Slider phone? I am very interested in the SL56 from AT&T but do not really want to switch service to get the phone. Is there any hope for me? 😲

LNP BASHING

What is the deal? Why is it that if a port is not done quickly people are acting like this crap is a suprise and its the old carriers fault. This is new to all carriers, suck it up and set the real expectations.Issue some damn credit and call it a day. And another thing. Bashing another company does not sound very good to customers. So many people call and ask to cancel a port because the unprofessional bashing made them change their mind. 🙄

Got my v60s this morning - pictures

Got my v60s this morning, so far, so good 🙂
It's smaller than my Startac, but a little thicker. So far phone seems to work well, nice and clear, seems loud.

Here's my post with pictures on howardforums.com:

Verizon DID have a phone with bilutin Bluetooth.. read on

Verizon did carry a phone with Bluetooth built in.. it was the Motorola 270c Timeport. However the only drawback is, is that this phone is NOT Express Network capable, it was a 2G phone. So connection speed was limited to 14.4kbps... If you want this phone, you MAY be able to find it for sale on Ebay if your lucky.

v60s info on verizonwireless.com

Found this URL posted on howardforums.com by "johnfoam"

According to the picture there, it looks like the unit is black with a black faceplate (Like the v60p) but the display model I saw was a dark grey (Think old Motorola flip phones) and the front lid was chrome. *shrug* either way I don't care 🙂

I saw the v60s

So this morning I was at my local VZW store returning my Kyocera 2325. The woman was very nice, and asked me if I wanted to pick out a new phone instead. I told her "well I'm sure you know this, but the v60s is coming out next week, so I'll just wait and get that one" She smiled, and said "How did you know that?" 🙂 I asked her if it was smaller than the v60p, so she said "hold on a second" and went into the back and pulled out the floor model (the fake phones they have on display) and let me see it! The body of the phone is a dark grey, and the front faceplate is chrome (Which isn't my personal preference, but that can be easily replaced) It has the stub antenna like the v60p does. As I was leaving the store after getting my Startac...

Using minutes to access 1x network w/ i700

I am confused. I want to get a Samsung i700 and have access to the internet. As I understand it from Verizon, the only way is via the $45 unlimited access plan to the Express National Access network.

However, I heard through Verizon resellers that Verizon customers on the West Coast could access the fast 1x network via the minutes on their plan if they called customer service and coerced them into turning this on for them.

I live on the east coast and would love to be able to access the fast 144k network for the minutes if possible rather than doing $45 extra a month. Is this possible?

Worst case scenario, am I able to access the 14.4 network browsing the full web with their $5 a month plan and minutes.

Any assistance would be ...

How to get v60s

Happy Holidays!

I saw in one of the previous posts that someone mentioned calling Telesales to get one of the new v60s phones. Do they handle the same new account setups as the Verizon Wireless stores? Anyone have the number to call?

Should all the stores have the v60s in stock on 12/26?

Does VZW offer handset insurance? Is it a good deal or a waste of $$?

Anyone have any idea why they have such a limited quantity & why they won't be selling them after the warehouse supply runs out? Does Motorola still make these phones?

Thanks again!
