Kyocera 7135

😳

So, I am not sure if anyone heard of this yet, but - Verizon is now finally admitting that there is a problem with the Kyocera 7135s. The specific problem is with the battery - if you leave the phone to charge for longer then 4 hours, the battery will overload the phone and cause it to act in a variety of wierd ways - in my case, it would loose connectivity to the network for hours and the only way I'd get it back was to either wait it out (few hours always) or to discharge the internal Palm battery which can be done by taking out the main phone battery. That action also does hard reset, effectively wiping out all of the information you had stored on the phone.

I knew of this problem for 5 months, was told by Verizon in-store tec...

Is Verizon REALLY that good?

Well I am a AT&T customer currently on a 2yr aggrement. I am thinking of switching carriers when my contract ends. I have started doing my research on which carrier to go to next and I seem to hear nothing but good things about Verizon...until I found phone scoop. This is the first time I have actually heard anyone say anything negative about Verizon. I still am looking to see if they truly are "the best" but right now I don't like the phones they have out. I do like the LG vx6000 but I am pretty sure they will have bigger and better phones by the time my contract expires in 2005. I am really looking for a phone carrier with walkie talkie options. Before Nextel was the only way to go but now I see Verizon and now Sprint getting in on the act...

LG VX6000 Reception

I just picked up my LG VX6000 today and I have to say that I am not impressed in the reception. I never dropped a call with my Kyocera and this one has dropped 5 calls today. If this doesn't get better I am sending it back. Does anyone know what phone has the best reception out there????

Will Verizon have Free Incoming Calls?

I currently have Nextel and I am wondering if Verizon will come out with Free Incoming Calls like Nextel has. That is the only thing that is keeping me from switching companys.

Okay, what's up?

😁, On the Cingular forum there is a surprising number of folks boasting about the wonders of VZW. Often they try to take over and change the forum into another VZW base. I do not see those users listed here. What is up with that? Is this not the post to boast about VZW in? πŸ˜•

Forced into a Phone

πŸ‘Ώ Recently, my phone fell and broke and I had to get a new phone from VZM. I wanted to wait for the CDM 9500 but it wasn't out yet. I saw it on the phonescoop but of course they didn't know anything about it when I went to the dealer. As a result I was forced into buying a phone with me Two Up at the time. A phone I didn't want. I have the CDM 8900 and it is ok. They told me I have until Jan 15th to change out of phones. I am thinking about tradeing it in for another type of phone in hopes that the CDM 9500 comes out soon. Any advice?

Sanyo to Verizon-Help Please

I have had a cell phone for quite a long time. I have had Sprint and Verizon and like them both. I have also worked for both but it has been a while ago. I currently have Verizon because of there coverage. However like most others out there apparently I am not a huge fan of Verizon’s phones. I am not one of these people that are interested in a camera phone but instead want the best call quality possible as well as reception. What I very much want to do and do not really care how much money it takes to get it done is get the Sanyo SCP-5400/RL 2500 and or the SCP-5500 / VM4500 working on Verizons network. I do not need the two way feature and I don’t need the get it now stuff. All I want is my text messaging and voice mail and phone. ...

Audiovox: Quality or Crap??

Hey Verizon guys & gals!! Can anyone tell me if Audiovox phones are any good? I herd that one of them was recalled recently (8900 I think?) so I wanted to know if their phones are top notch. I stopped into a Verizon wireless store and saw the 8600 and I think it is a pretty nice phone. I never used a cellphone from them before and I need to know are their phones a sound investment. Any info would be greatly appreciated. πŸ™‚

What are all the Phone that a coming soon to Verizon

I am eligible to upgrade my phone around the middle of January. What phones are coming soon, and which ones would you recommend or wait for. Also, how do these compare to Verizons current offerings. I am trying to get the best phone for my money, with battery life and sound quality being of high importance. Are there any really cool offering hitting the stores any time soon? Please project costs also.

Thanks in Advance,

J
