Need help on this Blackberry Pearl 8100

Ok, I had preformed a "wipe" as its called and got the phone back to original settings. I did the set up wizard and I still cant make or receive calls. It says "data connection refused". What do I need to make this thing work? Do I need wireless access on my computers? Do I need to call cell one and have them turn something on? Do I need a specific plan! I really need help. Id like to be able to use the phone for my hotmail email account and use the browser and make calls and do all the things it can do. Please someone help me get in the right direction.

Cell One / A;lltel Upgrade Policies

Does Alltel offer any sort of standard upgrade program? Will they offer it to their aquired WW / Cell One customer base?

A friend has Cell One (WW) and signed a new 2 year 4-5 months ago when they added their daughter to their plan. Problem is his phone is now 2 years old and he has 19 months left on his agreement (due to the extention). Currently Cell One said too bad, was hoping Alltel had better customer retention options.

Any ideas?

With the Alltel Buyout are they keeping GSM Roaming agreements?

Does anyone know if they plan to keep the gsm technology for previous roaming agreements that WWC had? My roaming department here stated that they dont have to keep these if they don't want to. Just curious. I know our company roams with WWC in the Dakota's on GSM

I wonder what company will purchase the markets that alltel must divest from the purchase of western wireless? Anyone have any thoughts on this? I know it will be a while before it happens.

New Plan Cool But Still

I just noticed that cellone is offering a new plan called midwest select. For myself and I'm sure some others in the KS/NEB area it is a great plan and I'm glad they finally realize that just because you live in a rural area doesn't mean you don't travel to the city sometimes too. And according to my best friend who works for western wireless you can use your night and weekend minutes in the expanding coverage area as well.
However, I still have one beef with CellularOne. Why do they continue to make a person pay for CallerID and Voicemail basic on plans that are less than $39.99? To me this is ridiculous and petty on their part. Most cellular phone company's now offer caller id and voicemail on all their plans.

Adding features without permison

👿 😈
I have been hearing alot lately where the sales reps are not happy that they are being forced to add certain features. I was wondering if I could get more detail on this outside of the work forum. I am not out to get anyone in trouble, I am just trying to find out what is going on here. I talk to customers and they tell me they never asked for that feature, and I want to know if I should just take their word for it and issue credits for it.

New phone...

I just got a Motorola T730 on Ebay and it was originally from Verizon. If I go into the cell one store, will they flash the phone over for me? How do y'all do that anyway?
