Port it under the market from which the area code is. I'm guesssing Mid West Region or Minnesota/Northern Plains for WI. Those two states may even be the same market on our side.
Even if I get a phone in California with a Florida number they had to go into the Florida market to activate. Doesn't matter where the account was established.

I've only ever seen it once in a little over 5 years, but it comes back with Credit not Approved - Undesierable. So no, we won't even give you service if you have $800 cash money to hand me.

Did you have a smartphone previously? That plan sounds like the Unlimited Messaging/Data for $30 that is still offered to non smartphones. The smartphone plans before that were the PDA Personal for $30, I don't recall one that included unlimited text. Media Max plans, Media Works, and Media Basic were all limited plans.

I'm usually nice enough to help. But I may be known to tell them about the bathroom on the other side of the mall, but not the one right inside Macy's 30 yards away. I'm also known to point and grunt if they ask about something I can see from my kiosk.

And I totally understand service isn't guaranteed. But what if it was a bad SIM? Or a bad phone? Or a tower that was down? Or a provision on the account?
It would be a perfect "don't do this" call. Can't script this kind of rude service.

I've heard one and I've heard at least one. Apple really needs to, by the time the life cycle ends and the next next iPhone comes out every manufacture will have multiple LTE phones. If not they will just be terribly behind.

iPhone 4S = iPhone LTE and iPhone 5 = New design with LTE? Since Apple is greedy and now they might be a year ahead and won't be way behind when iPhone 5S/6 launches. They never have thought the way the rest of us have.

Not that it means much, but one of our corporate guys sent an email indicating the 3GS was being phased out to make room for the 4S and 5. If anyone in my company would know, this guy would.
So perhaps Apple is going to sell both an iPhone 4S ($199?) and an iPhone 5 (OMG how much?) at the same time?

Well, we were a single store and didn't take any bill payments unless we called ccare for them. We could take anything for a purchase.
We were purchased this Spring and now take payments but before we would politely call RS to inform them (I'd say 2-3 times a week) that we didn't take cash payments and all they were doing were irritating the customer. They would send them to us rather than break the bad news that nobody in ...

I love when they call and ask first. If it's something I usually wouldn't do but can do I'm ten times as likely to help.
Like free SIM card, boss says charge even though we can do free. If you call and ask me, I'll probably go free. If you just give them the entitlement that they come in here like they are god and demand one I charge them and call ccare for a bill credit.

If you have a business and you literally only have one way to be contacted to avoid losing "thousands" a day in business (I've heard the same thing) then you probably deserve to lose it.
Besides, the last time I had a customer tell me that I offered him a buy outright at $300, because a $300 phone vs losing thousands only makes sense right?

Agreed, many authorized retailers don't do their jobs.
But I feel the same anger when you send customers to my store for a warranty swap, insurance claim, or to return a phone bought online. Many of you (not referring to you personally, but ccare in general) assume every store just happens to be COR. In reality, there are only 3 COR stores within a 2 hour drive of here. And more than 40 authorized reatilers.

Remember, you have no contract. They have no legal obligations to you.
Like a month to month lease, both you and your landlord could say it's done at any point in time.
It's probably not the "3G" system that's doing this to you, as GSM will remain for a long time, but I'm sure the old billing system is getting kicked.

Well, if you already have it, you're grandfathered in and can keep it. If not, it was announced way before it happened and that means you've been a customer for less than 40 days and you signed up knowing there was no unlimited.
So either you signed a contract knowing this, or you think they are going to take away your unlimited.
