Why is WHO still in business? Alltel? They are still in business because they are one of the best, if not the best, carrier.
And that would be funny if Sprint buys Alltel. Back in the early to mid 90s, it was called Sprint. Then the name changed to 360 - that was when we got cell phones - 1996. Then sometime later it changed to Alltel and has been Alltel ever since.

What is the phone like? Is the reception crummy? Drop alot of calls? Tinny sound? Or does the phone actually have great reception and sound and good volume? Can it actually do something besides text and email and do it well?
And I have never heard of Kantana II, Upstage or M300. I did a search on M300 and a "watch phone" came up. I'm not interested in a watch phone, even if ...
Just the Facts please...
I know this LG Scoop (Alltel) has been desired by big-time texters. That said, I want to know what kind of PHONE it is. Putting texting and everything else aside just for a moment, honestly, does it get great reception? Does it have good speaker volume, ringtones, voice quality?
If someone does not do alot of texting, is there any reason to get this phone?

I know this response is way late. Sorry I am just now replying. I have not been to the Motorola W315 webpage in a while (obviously).
I have not used the speakerphone very much but the few times I have, I can still hear the other end when I am talking.

I'm an Alltel customer but don't have this phone, not yet. I plan on buying it IF word of mouth is good with Alltel customers.
Why would anyone buy a phone off ebay? I would never do that. You should return that phone with Delivery Confirmation/tracking number (to prove you returned it). If the seller refuses to do a refund, file the proper complaints with ebay and/or Paypal and they can force that seller to either ...

I want to know from Alltel RAZR2 v9m users if the font on outside and inside screens is big or can be maximized or minimized depending on your own particular needs.
If the time is big on the outside I would not want to minimize it - personally.

I just read a review on this phone and the reviewer said you cannot change the font size on this phone anywhere. He/she said you can't enlarge it, so if you're blind, forget it.
Does anyone know yet if this will also be true for the Alltel version?
If the font is very small, I will need to enlarge it. If I can't do that, it's off to another phone for me.

Maybe it depends on your own coverage area. I was in the Alltel store a few years ago waiting and a woman I didn't know or had never met started telling me she and her husband switched to Cingular to try to get better fringe reception. She said Cingular was worse than Alltel, so they switched back to Alltel and were staying with Alltel. She even liked the customer service help better at Alltel.

I would call Alltel (don't go to the store, call the 800 # and get an operator) and tell them how you're roaming at home and you would like them to tell you how to fix it.

Reading your post made me wonder why you want to change phones if you love your E815 so much. If you're with Alltel, just because your two year contract is up does not mean you have to change phones. (I know Alltel carries the E815-don't know anything about Verizon)

One person's problem is another person's blessing. It sounds great to me. But I'm to the point where I need reading glasses. I wish the 8600 had that big font. At the store the font was microscopic. That is the only reason I hesitate to get the 8600. I need something I can see and read.

I would like to know if Alltel will be getting the LG8700. The LG AX8600 is available through Alltel in 3 different colors.

I have this phone. My trial period ends Thursday (Dec. 7). I have just about decided to keep it because it is a great phone as far as reception and sound goes. My mother, who is in her 80s and hearing impaired says she can hear me so much better on this Motorola W315 than my last phone.

Opinion of LG AX245?
Alltel is my service provider and they have an LG AX245 cell phone that they have been selling for about one month. I've heard some of the older LGs weren't that great, but they have improved. Anyone know anything about this newer LG AX245? Reception/clarity/Sound? That is the most important thing to me. All the rest (camera, etc) is secondary. I would appreciate opinions about LG cell phones in general too.
