Well its that time again, time for me to read everyone's reviews, read the forums and make a decision on the new phone for the next 2 years. It'll be hard parting ways with in my opionon with the best cell phone I've owned. Even though the camera wasn't the best, it froze up and had to reset on a daily basis, and looked like a little brick in my pocket. It never would have traded it for a fancy, slow, slim, "cool" phone. The E815 was just always very reliable for what it was- A phone.

Some things I got spoiled with and I need with my new phone....
1) Realiability (good reception)

2) Phone Speed ( I don't want anything as slow as my brothers Razor's, krazors' , Lozer's...

3) I want the E815- T9! texting! I tested the texting on bo...

Probably not. None of the new phones work as good as any of the old phones did. My 6000 was perfect. I have tried 5 or 6 new phones over the past two years and nothing comes close. I guess it's the problem with packing more and more into something smaller and smaller. Something has to give.

I was in same dilemna as you, as i had an 815 for 2 years and it was an excellent phone. I was never a LG fan and I have had a LG 8300 last 6 months and it is an excellent phone, with about the same reception and call quality as the E815. Check it out.

Reading your post made me wonder why you want to change phones if you love your E815 so much. If you're with Alltel, just because your two year contract is up does not mean you have to change phones. (I know Alltel carries the E815-don't know anything about Verizon)

I can tell you absolutely love your phone. Why change?

1.both phones pick up well, best on market right now is 8300
2.phone speed is much better than the razor on all these models. The 8300 will slow down when using flash ui instead of standard ui
3.texting, sorry you are going to have to deal with it
4.Well the camera on the 815 sux, don't care what your argument there is but the camera on the 8300-8700-razr maxx will all be much improved.
5.Not sure about the max but you can turn the lg's to vibrate by opening them and hitting the star key... I persoannly hated turning my phone on vibrate accidentlly while in my pocket.. so i perfer only open option
6.yes
7.no, can send them through as pix message though.
8. no flash on the 8700, still an excellant camera though, one of the best i ever ...
