Plus, the awful word of mouth for Sprint travels just as fast as a radio commercial, so there you go...
Re: touch screen
...and by "dumbed down" I mean the ID, not the LX, don't everyone kill me :paranoid:
Re: touch screen
Sure, I hear that, I just figure with all the models, they could make a "better" version along with these "dumbed down" versions...
Re: Um...so...
Well...if you check your internal systems, you would see that only like 6 stores nationwide are doing it on the 17th, and I believe customer care will upgrade, but GENERAL release is the 24th, i.e. when all the stores get it.
And where does it say SK4? Why, as a T-Mobile employee, would you start unsubstantiated rumors? How is it better then the 3 where you are so sure it is the 4?
Re: Kinda
Well, initial pictures said "SideKick 4 LX", but everything since just says "LX", with no 4. Since the specs are almost the same as the 3, I would hope that the 4 is still to come, maybe UMA/touchscreen/video/all the stuff missing from SK to make it a serious contender against phones like Treos and the iPhone...
Re: well...
Oooo face!
And why would you doubt Rich? Don't you know that he looks at screens all dang day? Have YOU seen it? Why are there so many doubters/haters on here?
Re: Are you dumb?
Says what, that the SK isn't the best option for texting? If you disagree, you must work for T-Mob.
Re: What the buck????
Ooo, a dare!
Rich, is that you? Oops, it's just someone regurgitating what Rich told them. Silly me...
Re: Yeah
Yeah, strange that they are already bending, but it is nice to see that the FCC isn't ALL powerful...
Re: What the buck????
Have YOU ever looked at it, or are you just a hypebeast?
Re: WHOOOOOOOO CARES???
Sorry, but neither are the 4.
Re: Last hope before I cancel. ANY T-mo rep with power- HELP!
But do you get ANY phone?
Re: Last hope before I cancel. ANY T-mo rep with power- HELP!
Long story short, they WOULD rather loose the business then pull all kinds of strings. They already have the "alt exchange" program in place for this. I completely understand that the phones offered are not up to par, but most other companies don't offer alt exchanges. The way they see it, if they get you a Samsung for free because you don't like HTC, then a year from now when you don't like Samsung, they feel like you might ...

Re: So where are all the VZW-haters now?
We're still here, we just hate AT&T a little more now also...
WHOOOOOOOO CARES???
No, really, who here cares about a new Sidekick if it's not the 4? These are cheezy and uninspired. The slide is purple? Are they serious? Wow. And today, they started offering reservation cards :?
I do like that the screen will be clear, seeing as how the screen on past SKs have been less then garbage. But besides that, how about ONE SK now, and two 4s? Doesn't that sound better?
Re: Good Investment?
So...wht say you, muchdrama? Good investment or no?
Re: Pretty funny and or interesting
If by SK you mean SideKick, then no, there has never been an extra fee. In fact, in all the years I've seen MySpace around, I don't know one person who has had to pay for it. All these "updates" are because it WORKED on phones, but it would look off, plus you couldn't upload photos.
Re: Let me get this straight...
I'll buy it, as long as you move from under the bridge one day. You don't need to set a date or anything, just agree to one day move out.

What a douche bag. "You guys didn't havta" is a 3rd grade argument
Re: 1.3mp camera
It takes OK photos but the screen resolution is awful, so photos on the device are horrid. Transfered to a computer is better, but still lame.
Re: Who is backing them?
I know about the network, I meant financially, who backs them? If it's just shareholders, that seems a bit shakey to me.
Who is backing them?
Are they out there on their own like Amp'd, or are there people behind them like Helio?

Not as much as when people base opinions on a single photo.

Oh, I guess THIS is where I insert the sarcasm, since it wasn't picked up on earlier...
Re: poor t-mobile customers.......
So T-Mobile took the picture?
Re: Wonderful News
It just is, OK? Why does everything need to have a reason with you? Why can't it just be what these uninformed, egotistical people on here post? Geez man, you sound like you read the paper, or at least know how to use a Google search. Some people...
(sarcasm generously donated by the good people of the FCC, of whom I have no bad things to say)
Re: Wonderful News
Jesus christ, have you read any of these posts in their entirety, or did you just read the first two lines of each one, then add a reply? nextel18 isn't hating on T-Mob, he is stating his opinion as to why this ISN"T such a "big win", and as a T-Mob employee for as long as you, I can't really see huge benefits to it. "Our award winning practices will follow suit with Suncom" ??? Didn't WE buy THEM, ...
Re: nextel18
I give it to nextel18, he seems to look at all angles, which most industry execs don't seem to. The industry, right now, seems to go off of relative success, not real success. What I mean by that is they are more concerned over how they do in comparison to the other providers, and not how they are doing as a money making company.
Re: Blackberry Maps?
It works well, but I prefer Google maps, go to google.com and download it.
Re: web browsing iphone vs. blackberry
No, it's not like the iPhone. The iPhone browser is like HTCs browsers. And the iPhone isn't JUST like a computer, heavy flash and embedded videos still are a problem.
Re: If verizon doesn't want to play by the FCCs Rules...
Wha?" Why would you care about trend whores if the phone sells? Customers "cripple" the phones? From what I hear, VZW won't even sell a BB without the data, which in CA is illegal (so maybe the don't do it).
And since when is piracy by way of Bluetooth the carriers problem if they don't supply the content? Besides, bought ringtones are locked from BT on any phone from any carrier. And VZW doesn't want you to have high bills? ...
Re: Anyone care to explain for Verizon?
Damn, you got punched in the ovaries. Right in the old baby maker.
Re: Anyone care to explain for Verizon?
Yeah, the FIOS might turn to their biggest earner in a year or two if it takes off. Last year, for the SuperBowl, a local bar of mine let Verizon set up TVs, and they looked great.
And as far as caring about their wireless data, when did they?
Re: Anyone care to explain for Verizon?
Yeah, so take that!
:o :D
I think it's kinda obvious nextel18 was making an educated guess, how could it be anything more? Did you really think he was saying it was 100%? And he makes very valid points, Google and Apple not only have very strong business models that align more with customers then Verizon's, but a large capital to cover any start-up related losses, so they would have a good start, as long as they do ...

The rules in question are not about sharing the system. The rule is to prohibit the carrier from interfering with how customers use the data they paid for.
The FCC is doing it for 2 reasons:
1. It isn't any of Verizon's business how customers use the data allotment they pay for.
2. The FCC has no sense of jurisdiction and wants to control everything.
Verizon is opposed to it for 2 reasons:
1. It isn't the FCC's business how a landline ...

I just drove by a "Cingular" with the banners, the background is orange, letters are white. Just what I saw...
Re: Out of curiousity...
Hahaha cool, we'll start our new lives with some easy money! Whoop whoop!
T-Mob?
So they are already trying to get 3G phones? I guess that's a good sign...
Re: Out of curiousity...
So true, but with all the money they are making on lawsuits, the buy-out price might be higher then the price to pay them off! What a great possition for them to be in: make money regardless!
So... I was serious, who here works for NTP? Email me, my resume is ready!
