This will work if you simply want different audio for the ringer and SMS alerts. But, unfortunately this does not fix the issue with setting a specific ringtone to a person in the address book and having that same ringtone when that same person sends you a message.

I understand that Cingular & T-Mobile are temporarily pulling the RAZR due to too many dropped calls. Motorola is working to resolve this issue. Verizon, on the other hand, continues to sell them. We'll see what the future hold for the RAZR.

Apr 3, 2005, 4:05 PM

It seems that no matter how many times that I copy $ paste a new identically named wav file in the windows folder it starts up with that annoying sound. What I don't understand is if I replaced it, how does it keep coming back?

Once the mp3's are on the card, you shouldn't have to sync them. The Windows Media player on the phone should recognize and play them. My mp3's play fine, and no issues while syncing.

All, Please be aware that newegg.com sells flash memory with the brand name "Mini Mobile". I actually did this.....I purchased what I thought was a 512MB Mini SD card for my phone, but turned out that it was a standard SD card named "Mobile Mini SD". I had to ship it back and get a refund.

I'm not sure if there is a way to copy contacts from SIM to Outlook, then sync back to the phone memory.
