Probably something to do with Cingular picking up the w810 and w300. Both feature the walkman software and the w810 has a 2mp camera... everything else is the same minus the pedometer thing...

Cingular should pick it up because there has to be a medium between the 810 and 300, this one is it.
It has everything you could want in a flip phone
plus those 10hrs of battery.

If Cingular is picking up the W800 and W300 as their walkman phones, then I would be willing to bet that, if anything of this model, they'd be getting the Z710i.
I've been using it about a week and a half now, it does NOT have the pedometer like the others, but it does have a (non "walkman") MP3 player and all those other bells and whistles that people sell phones based upon. Still has the 2.0MP camera and all that.
My last phone (well, it is sitting right here not being used) was the W300i, I like the Z710i better, personally

Suncom usually gets the walkman phones first for some reason but, Cingular just got the w810i and the w300i about 3 onthjs after Suncom. that will most likely happen for this model too.

Cingular get's them a little later because they actually test the equipment before releasing it for use on their network.

the w710 isn't on the road map at this time at all. the w810i and w300i were both on the road map well before the were launched.

right, a cingular sim in an ulocked phone does not constitute a cingular branded model.

I'd prefer Z710 over both
the price (1US=7.72HKD)
W300: 1890
Z710: 1980
W810: 2480
the choice is clear, a phone with W810 feature + flip for cheaper, just sacrifice the M2 (you can buy 1-2GB for the difference of price)
