Re: How about $200 off on a 64gb.
What doesn't work for your works well for many. And I love glue people complain about promotions. They could do no trade in promotion and have you pay full price. Verizon isn't known for giving away the house, so this is a big deal.
meh
Call me old school but if I can't get a subsidy on my phone I won't go with you. I don't need a new phone once a year and I refuse to pay $700+ for a new phone. I'll stick with my everything data and take my contract. $180 for 3 phones is fine with me. Still take advantage of good phone deals from best buy or target. Do new customers still have the option of contracts, or are ...
Re: Unanimous decision.
It can't be very often. Powerful message sent by the supremes! It's nice to see some protection afforded to us.
Re: upgrades
The purpose is to test out the network. Upgrading customers are already familiar with the network. If you need more than 14 days to decide if you like a handset then I doubt 30 days would be enough.
Re: Keyboards
Moto X - 4.7"
Moto G - 4.5"
HTC One Mini 4.5" plus it is a mini version of a larger screen phone
All the phones you listed have screens larger than that of the iphone. When was the last 4" flagship android phone?

Re: Exactly how many times
I'm sure lawyers more informed on constitutional law looked at the appeals court ruling and amended the proposal accordingly to make it legal. And this is a win for the consumers. Now instead of slowing traffic to particular sites at peak hours they can not but at they can provide the equivalent of a hov express lane for sites that want to pay for that. I like that better than no regulations and hoping the big corporations do the ...

Boom goes the dynamite! Lol
Re: Clear Customers Deactivated
Clear was purchased by Sprint. They don't have to offer them a LTE replacement and honestly I doubt they will. Your parents will have to find an alternitive. I'm sure dsl or cable is an option.
Re: Wrong
Verizon and Sprint customers are used to having that ability only on wifi so it is not really that big of a deal. But the commercial told you it was so I understand why you can't live without it.
Re: Did Sprint
I know! Another butt hurt T-Mobile fan boy, even though Sprint covers more pop with their LTE and has a larger voice coverage area as well. And also mucher better upload speeds. But let's not let facts get in the way of a fanboy rant. It was an intelligent comment before this clown got all emotional.
Re: LOLZ
What i was refering to was the difference between CDMA-a & CDMA-b when the technology first came up Verizon bullied other members of the CDMA alliance to choose A technology which does no permit voice/data vs B (which Sprint pushed for) that does allow it. Not trying to be a Sprint appologist or anything like that.
Re: LOLZ
What does one have to do with the other. For most Sprint customers this isn't a big issue. Unless they are coming from another LTE device most haven't had the ability to use data and voice at the same time, unless they were in wifi. And the reason for CDMA not supporting both is Verizon not Sprint. Having used Spark speeds I can say I have no problem with the trade off.
Re: I don't say it often, but
Ryan Seacrest can appeal in the middle of American Idol till he is blue in the face. This is a blatant infringement of Blackberry's only saving grace (since they gave bbm away). Tweak the design of the keyboard and call it done. There is no winning this for Typo.
Re: Great call center
The term "guests" made me think I know where you work. Lol
Re: It's rough working for Sprint
As companies move to better automated self service care many call centers will close. With Sprint it is not just this round of cuts to the call center but all other across the board cuts and the frequency to which these cuts occur that I was refering to.
It's rough working for Sprint
I tell you Sprint and T-Mobile have too many rounds of cuts for me to go back to either. I started in the industry in 1998 at the Sprint call center in Orlando. Some people who started with me are still there. The cut back on the store staff and even closing stores in favor of Prefered Retailer whom they just pay commision and not staffing and the store support staff is maxed out after this last rounds of ...
Re: Great call center
As a manager for a big box retailer and former manger of a Sprint corporate store I can say that nobody should've reffered that customer to the corporate store. The rep in your store should've called sales support or your Sprint IAE from the beginning and it would've saved much hassle. The corp stores will not fix any 3rd party mistakes. "Guests"....hmmm I think I can tell where you work. Do you have a good "vibe" and "great" service? ...
Re: Finally!
Same thing I thought! Samsung take Note! Pun intended. Lol
Re: Or you can buy a Nexus or iPhone
inferior hardware to get rid of unwanted software. Naw I'll pass. Can root it if you don;t want it. I just went from 4.4 stock to 4.3 touchwiz because I missed some things. And the sales numbers say people don't mind the preinstalled software. Message boards are not reflective of real life.
Re: No problem as long as...
What do you base this off? First its a whole new company since its been purchased. And second Dan Hesse was originally the innovator of wireless the plans they came up with when he took over were not traditional at all.
Re: PLEASE GOD NO
Nextel made Wimax possible. Wimax was a stopgate for LTE. Sprint had a hard dealine to deploy next gen service or surrender the spectrum to the govt. Wimax was ready to launch and LTE was not so Sprint did Wimax with the knowledge that they would eventually transition to the LTE when it was time. Sprint covers more pop in their LTE then T-mobile does but TM does have superior speeds. But I've been in Spark areas and was ...
Re: PLEASE GOD NO
Exactly!!!!! People complaining about the Nextell merger and nobody in Sprint upper mgmt that was there then is in power now.
Re: PLEASE GOD NO
Please tell me what happened with Nextel? Let's see what you actually know and not just opinion but facts.
Loss of turnkey
The biggest issue is the loss of the Sprint Kiosks, Sam's Club Kiosks, and finally Target Mobile is the reason why they are now suffering. Those operations made Radioshack the largest cell phone dealer in the US. Now they are down to their core retail stores and that is not where they want to be. If they had prepared better and retooled and remarketed their stores before, when they had many streams of revenue, this wouldn't be the disaster ...
Re: Who would have thought..
T-Mobile fanboy? The State of NY is claiming that Sprint was not charging enough in taxes, Sprint says they were nothing more than that. But u in all your supreme knowledge know about managing a multinational multibillion dollar business. Yeah right....
Re: who can blame t-mobile?
The blame would be in the fact that BB is still a vendor and to push customers towards another company is wrong. How would they like it if BB offered customers switching to a new BB device on ATT (who still has BB's back) a special incentive? They would be irratte I assume...
Re: Surprised and Clueless
I have hope reading this thread now. I was worried that no one else was looking at the big picture. It's a big forest if you can see past the trees. This is whats best for business in the long run.
Re: Surprised and Clueless
You speak the truth!!!!
"Un-carrier" hmmph!
Seems like a very "carrier" thing to do to me!
Clueless
Most of you T-Mobile fans have no idea how this business works, and apparently the FCC & DOJ are about as clueless as you all. Notice BOTH T-mobile and Sprint say this is the only way to compete. These are 2 companies that have recently been on shaky ground. Sprint not so much since being purchased by Softbank and T-mobile got a reprive from AT&T's 3billion. But T-mobile WILL be sold (DT has made that abundantly clear) and I ...
Re: yeah!!
Exactly!!!! How can you blame companies for trying to by a company with a for sale sign in their window. Maybe Carlos Slim buys it, maybe some other foreign company, but it will be sold. At least with Sprint we know they are a value provider with lower costs and unlimited data. And they are under new ownership so the past of nextel merger and what not doesn't play a factor. I hope it goes through. I think its ...
Go Sprint!!!
I hope this goes through. T-Mobile by itself will never grow past the number 3 spot, and with the leadership, and money, of Softbank I don't even thiink that is possible. Sprint and T-mobile combined will truly shake up the industry. Despite what most of you think T-Mobile is not gonna cause majot change in its current state. It is up for sale and will be eventually sold. At least Sprint has shown a desire to keep monthly charges ...
Re: I cant wait...
Here is where you are wrong.
1. T-Mobile is already a foreign company with the majority owner being DT from Germany.
2. The Vodaphone divesture is not yet finalized so VZW is still partly foreign owned. And yes that reason did sound silly. AT&T may possibly bid on Vodaphone in the UK, I imagine they hope to be able to make a fair bid, if so, based on their offer not the location of their corp headquaters.
3. T-Mobile will ...
Re: Hydrogen on top of buildings?
Blah blah blah. They just announced how many new markets launched in LTE. It was just launched where I am. In fact my mom lives in a Spark area and it is amazing! I would compare it to any service out there. And its amazing how they managed to do both in two areas at the same time. But if a company cant multi task then they shouldn't be in business. Grow up, network vision is a huge undertaking ...
Re: LTE ???
Orlando just got lainched but little towns in Florida already had it. It just works out that way sometimes. But I will say the fully launched areas are nice. The upgrade period is rough though.
Re: I hope it happens.
And what carrier is that? I've been a district manager for both T-mobile and Sprint and if you think TM is so much better than Sprint you are surely mistaken!
Re: No surprise
I'm not a big commentor just because my day usually doesn't allow me that luxury. I prefer to check the comments on this site because it seems to be more industry profesionals and not fans on here. But aes more sites specialize in mobile news I think many people spread out their browsing as opposed to this being the premier site for mobile news that it once was. I still check here everyday first. But many things I expect ...
Re: No surprise
Yeah the only thing certain with Sprint is that you will eventually be layed off. But I've seen the same thing happen quite a bit at T-Mobile as well though. I'm hoping it doesn't hit any of my friends and former co-workers. But thats a slim chance!
No surprise
I was offered a good position at Sprint several times, but turned it down each time. they do too much corporate restructuring and management seems to suffer the moth. You cant really cut staff to the stores. But dealer support, b2b sales, district managers, and so forth can be culled and the remaining pick up a higher workload. Same thing happens at T-mobile. Not secure enoigh employment. Too many friends have been laid off for me to work at ...
