Seriously who still uses AOL?
Why do you care who uses AOL as their news portal? Have you been to AOL's site? It's perfectly fine for any type of news, video, etc... If it's functional and usable, what's not to like?
MetroPCS, Cricket, Virgin, or Boost...
...yeah, you'll save a boatload of money. I did by going with Virgin and paying just $149 for an LG Optimus Elite.
But then you get what you pay for--which is to say, not much, as Virgin's coverage and data are absolutely dreadful. I'm currently trying to figure out if I'm going to sign up with AT&T.

Hey ppl! Ok, so Im having an issue... I have had virgin mobil before, and I actually really did like it alot. I just canceled my verizon service for my area, because I barely got any service at my house, and it was too much for too little. Besides, their customer service was horrible... Anyways, I love my new virgin phone, but at my house it is still a bad service area, and I cant ...

I'm honestly thinking about going with el Virgin but I hate Richard Branson. I hate his beard and hate his hair and hate how 'posh' he is.
I'm really turned on by the cheap rates and that one android phone with 3D.
I wouldn't do it. I've been on Virgin for about 7 or 8 months now. Sprint's network is horrible. The only reasons I haven't dumped them are because they're dirt cheap, I'm not exactly a power user, and ...

I couldn't agree more. There are a decent number of people working for the manufacturers who feel the same way. The issue, as far as I can tell, is the carriers. They seem to think that's what their customers want. That, and/or they find it easy to sell phones with bigger numbers on the spec sheets.
There are some other explanations. Subsidies are a part of it. Really, I think it's a complex web of distortions in the ...

Have you checked it out? I got to see it in Barcelona last week and was impressed with the custom UI stuff for personalization. It was fast on the demo devices I saw, but that doesn't necessarily translate to real-world behavior.
I installed the Opera Beta on my Optimus Elite--hooray!, the mobile Facebook site finally displays correctly!

Misleading article aimed at further discrediting Blacbkerry. No surprise, really, considering Mayer's unfounded contempt for the company.
Yahoo is a terrible company with terrible products...Blackberry should send them a Thank You note for doing this public service
Yeah, that's right--because Phonescoop, which has been around for 12 years, would just make up a story about Yahoo products for Blackberry.
Quit spreading misinformation--or better yet, just quit posting altogether.
Rich--

Not to mention that most "smartphones" fail at the basic task for which they were created...making and receiving phone calls. Poor battery life, reception, and lackluster durability are just a few things plaguing most modern tablet phones.
Bingo. And don't forget the earpiece volume on smartphones--just horrible.

Not that I wouldn't. I'm sure I probably would, if Google would actually stop being asses and make quality app for WP. By that, I mean actually make apps for WP and Windows 8.

The funny thing is, it wasn't that long ago, people did. The introduction of Google Chat on Android phones changed that. Before that, you either used Live or Yahoo.
I used MSN Messenger or Live Messenger for years before Gmail came along--then *poof*, just used the chat client in Gmail from there on out. I also text quite a bit from my Gmail chat client--that's a great feature.

Well, you could always go back to Boost and buy their Galaxy SII that's been out for over a year. Or go to Virgin and buy a 2 and a half year old iPhone 4!
I'm already with Virgin using my Optimus Elite--which is a good solid phone...but Gingerbread is certainly dated. And now Sprint is just going to re-release it on their prepaid service.
LG Optimus Elite?
Way to start with a phone that's been on the market for, oh, 8 or 9 months. And I bet it'll be foisted upon us with Android 2.3, too.
Great on the desktop...

Thanks for pointing that out- I now use Verizon. As a matter of fact, I just paid a $ 500.00 bill from AT&T to get out of my contract and switch to Verizon. If that doesn't tell you how bad my EDGE service was then I don't know what would.
Woof--ouch.

I understand the whole thing that "other carriers are doing it." However that doesn't mean AT&T has to be just as evil. It's so ridiculous that carriers can't differentiate themselves from the others. God forbid someone actually deliver a great product at a reasonable price. AT&T should offer a better return policy and lower prices in my area cause their service is sub-par at best.
Why are you using ATT if they're 'sub-par at best' in your area?
Seeing as how returning a purchased phone--
