Sounds good...

Apparently the Sprint brand is not mud to some consumers. It will be interesting to see how this service fares.
It is going to do very well! Think about it. Tmobile did it and their 4G no contract plans are making them bounce back.

There are many possibilities with this new service that will benefit new and existing customers.

Will Virgin Mobile and Boost branding go the way of Nextel...

...if Sprint branding does take off?
Doubtful. These really are two different markets they're targeting. The pricing tells you that. I'd worry about people wanting to churn from the $109 plan at Sprint on contract to the $70 prepaid plan.
T mobile monthly 4g is a better option then this. They have a better selection of devices and there data speeds are lot faster then sprints slow 3g.

I have an affinity..

.. for 300kbps 3G. Seriously, any faster and I'm like WOAH slow down! Why are you loading that far ahead? What if I never watch that far ahead! Honestly, I love the buffering. It makes me think of something that is shiny, and polished, like a high speed network. Oh, BRB, the buffering just ended and I get to watch this cat playing piano for 10 seconds....
...for basic service that works where it's supposed to without costing an arm and leg. Really could care less for fast 4G networks that drop my calls and have poor reception in fringe areas.

So why no roaming?

Not in the contract with other partners?
I believe it's simply one of the ways they keep the cost down. That's always been the case with Sprint prepaid under Virgin and Boost.

LG Optimus Elite?

Way to start with a phone that's been on the market for, oh, 8 or 9 months. And I bet it'll be foisted upon us with Android 2.3, too.
Well, you could always go back to Boost and buy their Galaxy SII that's been out for over a year. Or go to Virgin and buy a 2 and a half year old iPhone 4! 🤣
