samsung a560

Notice no one has reviewed this phone because if anyone has owned it, they've probably thrown it out by now.

This phone has no games, no camera phone, incapable if downloading new ring tones, incapable of accessing the web, no good wall papers, unreliable alarm clock, bad reception.

I purchased two of these phones with sprint last year, they were the newest free phones out. They worked fine at first as far as the reception goes, and holding a charge, etc.

The problems I've had is mainly the reception. The phone will constantly signal fade with-in seconds of a phone call. It doesn't always alert me when I get a text message, and 90% of the time it will not ring when I'm receiving a phone call. This is by far the worst phone I've ever had, and both my husband and I have had to get new phones because of the problems.

The only good thing about this phone is the speaker phone, and that is all. If you're wanting a new phone, don't bother getting this one.

First A560 Bad, Second A560 Good

My first A560 had poor sound and horrible battery life and eventually died. Sprint replaced it for free today and it is a lot better than the other one.

It is crap!!!

Pros
It turns on and off.
It is small.
It started off strong.
It has a decent ringtone set internally.

Cons
It burns your face after about 5 minutes of conversation.
It drops calls randomly.
After having it for about 3 months, the batteries (note the plural use) twice as fast as normal - even with no calls being mad eon the phone and in power save mode.
It will complete a call - occasionally (don't look at the number of bars - signal strength doesn't matter!!!)
I have had it to be on 2 battery dots (3 indicates full) and all of a sudden give me the low battery warning and shut itself off.

I'll stop right there - I will use the rest of my energy to get a Sanyo. The VI-2300 are rock solid - I got my wife one (used on Ebay) after hers started crapping out. Hopefully I'll be able to get me one or an 8300. I don't need the extraneous crap - I just want to be able to keep a call on the line for longer than 5 mintues without getting burned and be able to ride down the highway thru the tech district and not get dropped every 30 seconds - it's not Sprint - like I said, I tried the same on my wife's phone and her's had no problems.
My 3 cents...

You people are all nuts!!! This is a great phone!!! Its been washed twice and kicked in a toilet and still going!!! Its been scratched a million times and yes its still going!!! And another thing is a phone will get hot if you talk on it long! All phones do that! Mine is over 2 years old! Not a thing wrong with it! And one more thing, phones are going to act up. All phones do that!!! So stop complaining and take it back to Sprint!!! And if it still is bad then get a new one!!! I suggest this phone to everyone who wants a basic phone!!!

Enters Limbo

This one has been with me for only 5 weeks. The first issue with it is the "dead battery without notice" thing and it started just after I got it. Now, every time I want to delete anything from the scheduler the phone displays the erasing animation and stays there for ever. It can't be turned off by regular means and even flipping it closed doesn't work, I have to remove the battery so it can come back from the "Limbo".

I strongly suggest don't fall for this little piece of junk! I need a phone without a camera in it because it isn't allowed in certain military bases, but this one doesn't cut it.

And before I go, yes there is a "Pro" for the phone, the size, looks and feel are alright...
