Awesome phone if you like to return items!

Feb 10, 2009 by becnel10

This is the worst phone since the motorola v3. The tocuh screen will go out. the operating system is slow. Bad reception even if leaning on a tower. Appeals to a younger audience, but will not bluetooth files (i.e. ringtones). A pretty pointless phone. Horrible buy.

ok

Its a good phone for texting. The Screen has a lag to it. buttons are to small phone is better for the younger kids. It not that durable with being made of a cheap plastic. The best full keyboard camera phone would have to be the samsung eternity. easy to use and a lot better of a touch screen

one of the best:)

Very nice phone

I got this phone about 2 weeks ago, and I think it's a very nice phone. I'm not sure why there's so many complaints. All i can see needing work on is: 1. The touchscreen sometimes *NOT very often. Maybe once a day at MOST* doesn't exactly work the way you think it should. More likely than not, you just bumped the wrong part accidentally. 2. The menus could be a little better, but it's not like it's unusable. For instance, the best way to change ring mode to vibrate/silent would be to push the volume button on the side and select. Some people would rather find it in the menu. 3. The talk time did seem a little sad, but i actually think it lasts longer than 3 hours. That might just be me though.

Really though. It's a great phone I think. The web is very quick, especially with me being in the 3g area. I've never had a dropped call. I've never lost the signal. The keyboard is nice, and if you think it's too firm, believe me, you'll break in the buttons nicely in a day or more, depending on how much you txt. The volume is loud, especially in call, it's nice.

I see no way you can call this a bad phone. Trust me, I know what a bad phone is. My last phone was a Kyocera Strobe on Metropcs. I had to replace that phone 5 times for the same problem. So either I'm just used to bad phones or people these days are just too willing to become ungrateful over little inconveniences.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

Good Design,
HORRIBLE functionality!
Phone works ok when it is closed, but as soon as you slide out the qwerty KB, it's all over...
The entire screen becomes misaligned, with no calibration utility to help get it under control. Our store sold a lot of these handsets, and all but two (2), returned them.
***DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY ON THIS MODEL***
(Try LG VU, LG INCITE, APPLE iPHONE, ETC..)

bluetooth issue

Dec 3, 2008 by alice08

I bought this phone for my teenage son. He loved it at first, until he found out he could not bluetooth ringtones. That stinks. What teenager does not like to bluetooth rings and pics.? If he keeps it or not is still undecided.

11 quick days to fire the QuickFire

Nov 26, 2008 by treewood

I was very disappointed with this "phone." After 11 days I still hadn't figured out how to make a call without a) having to navigate through 4 menus just to use my contact list, b) pressing the touchscreen about 25 times to get it to recognize the right numbers and/or c) dropping the phone.

For incoming calls, touching the "answer" choice on the touchpad is so hit-or-miss that you can actually miss a call altogether if you don't use the standard "talk" button. But then the standard buttons are so far down on the phone they are hard to reach; you'll drop the phone if you try to use it with only one hand. And forget Bluetooth... I'm savvy enough to have paired and used my earpiece with three other phones, but I never could figure out how to make it work with this contraption.

The menus are OK, just too many layers and not intuitive from my perspective - not that you can actually get to them from the useless touchpad anyway. And again, reaching the standard menu button on the front of the phone was impossible to do with one hand.

The reasons this rating reached as high as 1:
- I like the qwerty keyboard; it was not at all hard to learn, and the feel of the buttons was better than many others I tested
- The screen is large, clear, and colorful

This was my first attempt to jump from using a phone mainly for calls to using a device made for texting & internet as well. The QuickFire is one of the few qwerty phones AT&T offers that doesn't require an expensive text or data plan (basic MEdiaNet and a simple text plan are all I want or need).

I took the "phone" back on the 11th day and am back to my trusty Motorola KRZR for the short term. Knowing what I liked and didn't like on my first try with an entry-level data/qwerty device, I recently tested some others and now plan to purchase the Samsung Propel.

Bottom line - there's more to hate than love about this phone. Don't wast your time, sanity, or money on the QuickFire.

Just horrible

Pros: Qwerty keyboard, touchscreen

Cons:Battery life, call signal, bulky, 1.3 mega pixel camera with no flash, not enough customizable features, and many more that I don't feel like typing

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, all I can say is that this phone is pretty bad. The battery lasts about a couple hours, but I do text a ton(more than 100 a day) and the call signal is fuzzy, if you know what I mean. It's kinda big and bulky, but that's not that big a deal. And you also can't like set ring tones for a certain contact, or set a pic, or set a signature for texting. Overall, don't get this phone. get the Xenon or the Impression. Or the Eternity
I just bought this phone yesterday and I am quite pleaded with its quality. There are so many good things about this phone that I could list. Its touchscreen is amazing. I've used the iPhone and the quickfire's screen is much more responsive. the keyboard is very nice and easy to text with. the texting on the quickfire is wickid fast as it is the fastest phone i've ever used. I would 100% recommend this phone to anyone!!!!!
