honest review

Feb 24, 2010 by goodbye2morrow

I had this phone. I liked this phone. I had to stop using this phone as it was not accessible with straight talk from Walmart. I probably would have kept it, however, as i did not keep this phone i now have a cool razr and pay minimal monthly rates.

Worst Phone Ever Owned

Aug 6, 2009 by jason_042003

This is the worst phone i have ever owned, and i have gone through many! first of all, it does not do the blue tooth thing. you can't send pics or ringtones to your friends/family. the touch screen is a joke. it locks up or when you tap one of the touch screen buttons, it opens up the wrong thing that you want. sometimes the touch screen just locks up. i was on my second one and after not being able to send a text due to the touch screen being the way it is, i threw the phone and broke it. i ordered a samsung epix and i hope this phone does me better.

pros- works properly when it wants to.

cons- the touchscreen is awful, no sending via bluetooth. the battery life is horrid. and if you throw it, it breaks! lol! i wouldnt recommend this phone to my worst enemy.

An unsightly Christmas gift...

May 26, 2009 by thisis_klf_legg

Comming over from T-Mobile, using their purple Nokia Xpress Music 5300 (which I LOVE),

I got my orange Quickfire mid December 2008, the week before Christmas as a gift from my mom. I've had it almost six months now, I'm on my second warranty replacement, and I can honestly say, I wish my mom had chosen another phone for me. There was no way for her to know that it would have issues, etc. have not had any issues with my charger or phone overheating like everyone else did...I can see the arrow on the charger plug and didn't plug the damn thing in wrong...but I am being sent a new charger anyway. I asked for another phone since I heard a lot of customers were sent replacement phones other than the Quickfire...

Pro's:
-Large, back-lit screen
-Great for texting, which I do a lot of since I my mom got me unlimited text.
-Solid slider design, no problems with it comming apart, etc.
-My battery life is great, I've had my phone off the charger using it as much as I would a home phone, and it lasts and lasts.

Con's:
-No ways to add new themes, just the same blue and Grey...
-Can't assign ringers for phone book entries unless they are saved to the phone, not sim.
-Volume on the highest setting isn't very loud.
-It didn't come with a USB, or driver software for the USB, and once I did get one, drivers were installed and the Quickfire still didn't show up on my PC.
-Touch screen is mostly unresponsive, depending on the temp of my hands, and it does not respond to a stylus...
-Sadly, with the exception of custom ringers and wallpapers, there is not a lot of room for customization on the Quickfire...

I had this phone for 3 months. I can tell you that this is my second phone. My first was the Kyocera Wild Card. It was a great phone but it was time I moved on to a company. I decided to get the Quickfire. I loved it for about 1 week. Then I realized that I had made a bad decision. I got my phone right before Thanksgiving. The touchscreen is not very responsive, it's keys are small(and I have small fingers, i'm 12). The camera is very low quality, the phone is not loud and worse of all, it is very thick. When you are searching wirless.att.com, and you see a touch screen with a keyboard what do you think? I'm sorry for anybody that said it is a wonderful phone but i know you know there are some cons.

an ok phone that has some problems

Mar 13, 2009 by stuckwhithatt77

this phone is a cool idea, but it has some big problems. I got this phone for my early christmas present. sence then i had to return it becuase the touch screen completly broke. I have never dropped the phone i use it with complete care.i sent it back and got a new one and every thing was good except that the c button doesn't work now and then.
this phone is good for texting becuase it has a good sized button. although the buttons are not as rasied from the phone as i would like. I love slideing the phone up and down.

here is the problem. today i recieved a note in the mail that this phone BLOWS UP!!! well it doesn't blow up but the note clearly stated that when charging in corectly it becomes intencely over heated.accessories for this phone are impossible to find becuase it is not sold in the stor where i got the phone any more.( probably becuase it blows up=] )

pros:
-texting is fast
-touch screen is o.k. it isn't all that but i like it better then the voyagers touch screen
-muisic player
nothing eles this phone is not that great

cons
-touch screen freezes
-bottons are to low
-gets grimmy after a while(i'm a neat freak)
-BLOWS UP!

DO NOT BUY

Feb 28, 2009 by Racheal21

When I first got my phone back in Nov. I loved it, but it worked one minute and then didn't the next it would not charge at all, so they sent me a new one and now the touch screen freezes up and it makes it difficult to navigate through the phone when it will not work.

saddest moment ever

Feb 25, 2009 by sk8rgirl540

ok, Im a teenager that just spent money on this awesome new green quickfire. I fell in love with it the first day. The first week was the best. I loved the side flip full keyboard and touchscreen. But then, the second week came. At night, when I went to turn on my phone the screen was white. I tried charging it and nothing. So today, I went to at&t to get a replacement one when I found out they don't sell them anymore because of how they suck. The screen was completely disconnected from the body and I was soooo sad because now I need to find a phone just like that and everyone I have seen just completely sucks really badly. I hate the quickfire and at&t so never get it. I really wish I never saw that phone in the first place. I hope this helps

Love this thing to death!.... BUT...the touchscreen is crap!

Feb 12, 2009 by ccirami

Ok, Where do I begin. I got this phone for Christmas, Love it! I mean it is an AWESOME phone, the only problem I don't like about it is the touchscreen. The keyboard is AWESOME though. The keyboard is awesome it is not to tight and not to wide. Now it is a l-i-t-t-l-e thick. Not bearable. I mean, Even with my skinny jeans i can squeeze it into my pants pocket. It is no thicker than the blackberry curve. Overall dealing with a glitchy touchscreen is worth getting this phone.
