Unhappy with it.

Dec 30, 2008 by Meep

I've had this phone at least a good 4 months, and I'm not happy with it. When I first got it it was awesome. Then after a few weeks and until now every so often the sound will just take a dive and I have to restart it to get sound back.

They keypad is also pretty cheap. I can tell right now it's on it's way out. From the start it just felt chinsey and has just gone down hill since.

As of right now the battery life is about 36-48 hours. Now if this phone was a year or 2 old I wouldn't be surprised, but it started going down after about 3 months of use. When I first got it I could go 5-6 days without recharge, then that number dwindled to 4, then 3, and now less than or equal to 2. I paid almost 300 for the thing, theres no reason for that.

Even when I have the outer keyguard on, the phone will just take pictures by itself in my pocket. One time I pulled it out and I had close to 130 just blank black pictures in there from it doing that. No, I'm not kidding.

It also just acts funkey from time to time. I'll get a text then open it up and it'll show missed alerts, or just a blank screen. Then I have to press end to go to the wallpaper then access my texts manually.

Those are the negatives. Here's the positives

-Good sized color screen which is very crisp and clear
-outer speaker is crisp, clear, and loud
-great looking phone
-menu is easy to use
-buttons are a nice and big
-Pictures are pretty decent, same as videos

In short, I don't know if I got a lemon or what, but this phone is less-than in terms of quality. Too much has gone wrong in the space of 4 months for a near $300 phone. I've heard lots of people complain about their LG Rumors too. I'm pretty sure I'll steer clear of LG for a while.

Nextel's new little button

I got this phone the day it came out. It was awhile before I got used to it. I had the 860 before this. I liked the 860 too. It took me awhile to get used to the little direct connect button. The volume buttons are where the DC buttons were on the regular nextel phones. When you use the DC, you cant always get through to the other person. Granted that on the regular nextel phones you couldn't either, but, I have had to power cycle my phone a number of times because it locks up. I love the video camera and the still camera. I went to a Motley Crue concert and I filmed some of it. It came out so good people couldn't believe that I had recorded it on my phone!!!! There isn't alot of space for either video or pics on it. There are also 2 standby screens on this phone. One is on the outside obviously and one inside. You can assign pics to either one. The only difference is that the internal screen can have 4 pics that change every 5 seconds. Also going back to Motley Crue, as my ring tone, I have a piece of the concert play. On the caller id/outside screen you see the video also. You can also get a USB cable from Sprint so you can download all of your media to a PC or laptop. This way you can erase it and make space. In short, I love this phone!!!!
