Not What I expected.

Jan 5, 2008 by Emento

I am a lover of the LG Fusic phone. When I decided to try the Muziq I was in for a surprise. It has a better look than the Fusic with the same/similar interface. I like that you can switch between custom interfaces too. The music player is alright- I dont like that you have to use the Music store player instead of the old Fusic player (which was awesome). I like the fact that you can minimize the player to do things like text message. I dont like the position of the side buttons on the phone, it can be awkward at times.

the Battery life of the phone is so-so, not as good as the Fusic, but I guess you forfeit that to the sleek and size of the Muziq. With that note the reception is not as good either, at least in comparison to the Fusic.

Pros:
-Sleek phone
-Great resolution
-Camera/video
-nice features
- buttons are huge

Cons
-battery life
-reception
-music player is stripped of its Fusic goodness
- cannot alter the launchpad.

I really like the muziq, although it is not as durable, it does look stylish. It also has some features that I really like on it. Get this phone if you are looking for style, walkman and a phone.

*AWSOME PHONE*

I just recently upgraded to the PINK MUZIQ today from the LG FUSIC which i loved then to the HELIO FIN which SUCKED and now i have had the muziq for less than 12 hours, and keep finding something more interesting and AWSOME THINgs to do or customize. I can't put it down, Its an awsome phone with plenny customization features and the texting is pretty GOOD, not hard kinda slow bc im fast, was going to get the rumor bc ima texter but my camera needs to have a flash and have themes, so thats what stopped me from going to the rumor. The sounds on this phone are AWSOME, theyre clear, but could be louder, the pictures are pretty good, customization Is plenny options!...The battery life overall is pretty good. The colored skins are awsome colors, and the color display is Excellent. Ill be keeping this phone for a while unless they come out with a sony ericsson for sprint or a better LG phone or i won't be letting go of this phone!...Best phone ive had out of WAY TO MANY!!!!

I reccomend this phone to anyone who loves customization on there phone and all the other awsome features.

Muziq an excellent choice

I had the need to purchase a phone, and had been considering upgrading for quite some time, so I researched and settled on the LG Muziq. Let's just say I've had this phone not even five days, and already I've had more enjoyment out of it than my last two phones combined!

For one thing, the Muziq has a solid form, and its slimness allows me to place the phone in my pocket with virtually no discomfort. The keypad is large enough, with only some minor errant key presses encountered thus far. The external buttons may take some time to get acquainted with my fingers, but they too are sufficient. One peculiarity I found was the volume button on the top half. It just seems more natural to have that on the same half as the keypad.

As for features, the Muziq is loaded. Since it has EVDO, applications such as Sprint TV and NFL Mobile work like a charm. I've also had no trouble running third-party data apps such as Opera Mini. Both displays are vibrant and so are visible in any light setting. Phone calls sound good through the earpiece, and the speaker is adequate for listening to music. The FM transmitter also works as intended. The phone has great reception in the areas I am most, and when it's had not-so-good reception, it's in places that generally have bad reception, regardless of phone or provider. It also comes loaded with a decent email client. The included web browser is sufficient for WAP sites, but I suggest Opera Mini for most web browsing needs.

Overall, the Muziq is a solid purchase for those either upgrading or purchasing a new phone through Sprint. You will definitely want to purchase a data plan, and Sprint's data can't be beat in terms of EVDO coverage area. The only major caveat I see so far is the inability to move things between phone's memory and the microSD card, but that alone shouldn't deter you from purchasing the phone.

LOVE THIS PHONE!

I am a Sprint Indirect Rep. I did extensive research before purchasing the Muziq. I couldn't be happier with my decision. This by far one of the most amazing phones I have ever owned. The MP3 player and FM transmitter are amazing quality. The pictures and video come through so clear when viewed on a computer. The only 2 weaknesses I have found with the phone are if you do a lot of texting the battery dies FAST! But you can make it through atleast 12 hours of texting, calls, and music before the battery goes low so I guess it's not really that bad. There is also a bit of a lag in the camera. You hit the cature button and there seems to be about a 1 second delay. As a mother of a 2 year old this can be an inconveince at times. Other than that I would and do highly recommend this phone to everyone wanting a phone with an MP3 player!

Best Flip Phone I have had

Oct 13, 2007 by patricjames

I have worked in the phone industry in the past and have had hundreds of phones from the old nokia bricks to the treo 755p and I would have to say for a flip with mp3 this is a good phone, I am not going to get all technical with options because thats not what you want to hear you can get that from the from the info tab, I will just go over the pros and cons of the phone.

Pros:
FM Transmitter, this is a realy sweet option and works good in washington.

Blue Tooth Voice Dial, also real sweet for someone on the go that doesn't have a number in their contacts.

Great on photo's with out flash, good quality for a 1.3

Good game graphics, well lit screen

cool design

vibrating sensitive keys on the face of the phone.

Cons:

The batery cove feels real week and seams like it would crack real easy.

The light for the camera sucks but hey it least it has one.

The stickers that cover the screw holes on the inside come off real easy by mistake most of the time

Shows finger prints up the ying yang constantly wipping it off

No real definishion of the buttons so they are hard to find while trying to do two things at once

Volume keys are in a funny position

All that being said all around great phone, I have had it for 4 months now ever since it came out and no signs of weakness in the flip at all, still real sturdy. I am getting a new phone though, I just got promoted and need a smart pda phone again. I think I am going to try the mogul, it got good reviews and I really want to check out microsoft mobile 6

BEST EVER! GET THIS PHONE!

This phone is amazing. I have never had a problem with an LG phone (or a Samsung). I got this phone after I traded it for my monstrousity of a RAZR (piece of crap).

PROS:
-Sound is crystal clear.
-Reception is excellent.
-Screen is a pretty big size (very clear graphics).
-DOES NOT lag at all.
-Battery Life so far is perfect.
-Easy to navigate.
-Interesting and amusing themes/screen savers/ringers/etc.
-Etc.

CONS:
I don't have any yet :)

So what if it doesn't look as stylish as a RAZR. It does the job and then some. I highly recommend getting this phone.

forced gut happy with it

I was forced into the muziq phone due to sprints warranty procedures

I was satisfied until the new Razar

I went from the upstage to the musiq and I was pleasantly pleased. I love that the music from the mp3 player can be played through any fm radio, I found that to be very cool and unique. I love the features of the phone, the menu layouts, skins, and the overall functionality of the phone.

I think Lg could have done a better job at designing a more attractive phone. I was hesitant to purchase it solely because of its appearance, particularly the keypad. The features of the phone compensate for appearance. The battery life is o.k. I can't complain. The top clamshell could feel a little more secure. It feels like if you drop it with the shell open you could possibly break the phone in 2. The signal is o.k. When I'm in a building the phone tends to raom but I can still make calls(at a rate of $.60 a min). For that reason my phonebill has increased as a result of having this phone. Those are the only negatives I've come to know.

I just ordered the motarazar2 and I really hope I haven't made a mistake. I am just in love with the way that phone looks. I don't dislike my musiq at all, I am happy with it but the razar is a far more attractive looking phone than the musiq so it won...Or at least unitl I can compare the features of both phones.
