Love this phone

Feb 11, 2002 by Doran Skalak

I've read the problems with the 5200 and I have 2, one for my wife. We have no problems and it's very comfortable to use mainly because of it's weight. Easy to keep to your ear.

Additionally the phone has a button between the volume up/down for voice dialing to 30 slots. Because it's so handy I use it all the time without even having to take the phone from my ear.

Finally the very small size hides some cool things. First-get the plastic holder for it, the phone is so small it clips anywhere. The ear speaker can get so loud it vibrates the phone...sound like a defect? Not to me and my Jeep with big loud tires.

I'm not giving up this phone unless it dies. It has everything and a bit more that I've always wanted along with the "Wow" factor when you use it next to the HUGE nextel phones.

Finally, the connection power. I must say I'm throughly impressed with the connections. I can be in the far end of a Best Buy store and still use the phone without a bit of noise. My wife works dead center of a blocksized building in a notourously bad signal area and she has never had a dropped call.

The 5250 is a sweet upgrade but if a sprint store is dropping the price of the 5200 I'd find out their return/replacement policy (for those who have had problems) and pick one up cheap.

The 5200 is an excellent and amazing piece of technology that once you hold it you'll be sold on it.
