By far the most unusable speaker implementation in a cell phone yet..

The volume out of the phone is totally silly. In any regular environment you can not hear anything and the speaker being on the outside lid, makes it worse.. If you turn it over, you can hear if you put it up to your ear. We tested 3 different ones and the solectron guy in the store almost fainted when I showed him. He went to the store manager and showed him and they freaked out. So many people are going to return this phone because of this.

Imagine 5 months of testing and the VZW testing group forgot to test the speaker volume ? This is so dumb on their part.

I am bummed, The phone is really nice in so many other ways...

I love the screens , they are insan...

Hmmmmm.. the volumes on both my speaker and ringers are loud (at least for me anyway).
Not quite as loud as my 8300, but then again this phone doesnt have big a## stero speaker either.

I havent had any problems with bluetooth yet.

Seems like 1 out of 100 people have a problem with this phone.. most of the people i have talked to who own it, and myself, have not had ANY problems.. other than fingerprints all over it.. LOL

I am a bit surprised on what you say about bluetooth. I am the guy you asked in Howards about bluetooth. I used the H700 and it worked perfect in every call. I also did some test calls with another respected Howards member with him using his H500 and no echo whatsoever. Believe me, I am very aware of the bluetooth problems using LG's. It simply did not fail as I thought it would.

That being said, I went back to my KRZR today for many reasons. I think the 8600 will sell very well. For me, it came down to what felt good in my hand. The KRZR with the extended battery is the best feeling phone that I have ever used.

u just got it last nite and so far i love it. i got the jabra bt and it works good with no echoing. also no speakerphone issue. this is the first time i was able to use the v-card feature and wow, it saves soooo much contact transfer time.... i turned off the ev-do cuz i dont use it and it save battery time (menu 0 then 000000, then network select, then mode preferance, then1x only and ok) only thing i noticed was with the number 5, it doesnt always enter, maybe im not pushing it hard enuff but who knos...the camera is not too bad.......hope this helps some people
