you hit touch the side button on the right after you've made the call. I just got back from the store to check out the phone. I ihaven't bought it yet. Curious to see how it compares to the 8300 in quality

Sorry I can't be of anymore help. I literally was just at the store and the sales person and I figured out to push the side button, just by trying things. I didn't notice it as a menu option. When you get it working please let me know how it sounds. It seemed SUPER low in the store and we had it on Max sound.
