Why Low $ ? Has Verizon Crippled It?

Okay, my 8100 is fast becoming obsolete, so I am looking seriously at this "diet" Chocolate. But why is it going to be almost $100 cheaper than the non-dietic Chocolate? What has Verizon done to limit it?
Thanks 🙂

Not sure, but they did add bluetooth file transfer that has been working great for me.

It's not as much becaue it's not an update to the Chocolate, but rather to the 8300, or so I've heard.

Yeah, I'd agree. Not an upgrade to the Chocolate. I like it a little more than my chocolate though, and it does add bluetooth file transfer that the chocolate doesn't have. The thing that I like about my chocolate over my vx8600 is my chocolate's music player interface was better.

Thanks for the info, all. But now I am really debating. I love the features of the Chocolate but not that slide design. I thought the 8600 was another version of it. So what does the Chcolate have that the 8600 will not?
Again, thanks 🙂

Chocolate Slider has a QVGA screen (higher resolution).

I played with one a few times and could never get where i wanted to go with those heat sensitive touch keys.. it was frustrating for me.

I thought to myself. This phone will get returned a lot. LOL

One thing that the vx8600 has that the Chocolate does not is, "bluetooth file transfer"

they both have there advantages, but there pretty much the same. some of the difference are, the chocolate has a better screen and better mp3 player. the 8600 will have better blue tooth and 3 different UI's to choose from. one is a slider the other is a flip. It really comes down to preference.
