Font Size-External Screen

notthat

Apr 10, 2007, 7:45 PM
I would like to know if the font on the exterior screen of the LG AX8600 can be enlarged. I looked at this phone at the Alltel store last week and the date and time on the external screen is microscopic. The Alltel rep (young girl) helping me said it was even too small for her. She put the battery in the phone but it had to be programmed and her boss, who is using this phone, was out of the office at the time. So I didn't find out about the font.

I was going to get this phone in the gold, but if the font cannot be enlarged, I'll have to pass.

Anyone know? Thanks.

you can change the size that the clock is, but the day of the week, and date will always remain the same...

I have set my clock to digital, and it is large enough to read at a quick glance...depending on the wallpaper that you have chosen, I found that a light color wallpaper is best for the front screen to be able to read the time quickly...

Thank you for answering. The time is really all I care about seeing on the outside anyway. I'd still like to see how much larger it will be. I'm thinking about waiting until they come out with the 8700. Just thinking...

to see the actual size and decide for yourself if the time display is large enough for your own personal like (for me it is, like I said, it is easy to read at a quick glance)go to your Verizon store and they will have one that you can look at. play with and generally decide for yourself if you want to get that phone...

I will warn you however, because it was a distraction for me at first...the front display window stays on for only 11 seconds, and then goes off...but if that is a problem, there is a way, through the "back door" so to speak to have the front display window on all the time, but that, will of course drain your battery faster...I finally got use to the short time span...
