Ok i ordered my LG about 2 days ago and it should be coming in about tomorrow. im recieving it as a gift from my parents and am using my moms account as the upgrade so that i can get it for $150. my question is what are the steps i need to do to activate it for my number instead of my moms when its taken on an upgrade from her account?

easiest thing to do IMO is to bring it to a corporate store or an authorized agent to do the switch for you. it will be much easier than to call cs and do it over the phone.

WHAT?!?!? Why, so he can stand in line for 20 mins for to have the person at the desk look at him and ask why he didn't just follow the "how to activate your phone" sheet that was the very top piece of paper in the package and point him to the courtesy phone to do so!? Don't think so 🙄
Can see it now, 1 or 3 things will happen! 1. He goes w/o the parent and/or is not listed on the account as a FAC and gets no help at all after 20+ mins waiting b/c its an upgrade and requires the ESC! 2. Is a FAC or parent goes along, they ask why just did not do it as should have and then tells them to call CS to the ESN change! 3. Points them to the courtesy to do it as they should have, have them wait in line again, and then charges $20 per line ...

Actually, you can do this online if you are registered with Verizon's My Account. All you have to do is pull up your phone number. At the bottom of the page (under the My Phone section) you will see Activate a New Phone. Click on that and follow the steps.

or i recieved my phone and it shows the line under my moms number. i went to the my account thing. went into my number and hit activate new phone and it gives me 2 options:
