Can someone explain how exactly to transfer 3gp movies to the phone? I have the music essentials kit, but it only works for my music. I use the windows media player 10 to sync just like the software says. When I click sync-edit playlist- then select video- none of my 3gp videos show up. THe videos that do show up dont transfer when i start sync, it gives me an error message.

Am I using the wrong format? or program? or what?
I also heard I could record over an hour of video and my recorder only records in 30 sec. intervals, is that the best it can do?

What do I need to do to get the 3gp videos from my computer to my EnV phone??????

Are my 3gp files not being recognized because I dont have a micro card????

The files I tested were extremely small and were within the phones memory.

Is everyone using Windows media player to transfer there info? (the music essentials windows media player 10 usb )

even though i did respond to your PM, I'm not sure since I've never used the USB cable for my enV before, but all i have is the memory card and it works fine for me. If it doesn't work through the data cable, then you might need to buy a memory card but try it the first way first.

Well, you actually should be using a microSD card and a card-reader to transfer your .3gp files onto the phone. You can not do it with "wmp" and the data cable, however, you can transfer .3gp video files directly to your phone's memory using the USB cable and a program called BitPim 🙂

But, the reason many people use MicroSD cards is that videos typically take up more memory than music, and the phone only has a limited amount of memory (48mb) for music, games, SMS and call history, etc...
Using the "filesystem" tab in BitPim, you want to navigate to the brew/16452/mf folder, right-click on the "mf" folder, select "new file", browse (on your computer) to the location of your .3gp video and select "open". you shoul...
