Bluetooth headsets advice
I'm looking for some firsthand, or even secondhand at this point, info on a BT headset for the enV.
I tried the Plantronics 655 and 1- it doesn't fit (I can't wear earbuds and apparently not even with the smaller earbud that came with it), 2- the earclip i ended up using is VERY uncomfortable and 3- it's scratchy sounding sometimes. I was carrying it in the provided clip/holster and have since lost the earclip and one of the earbuds âšī¸ So it has that going against it, too. I don't like loose parts.
I posted this in accessories without a whole lot of response and was hoping to narrow down my choices with what works well for our phones.
Two I am interested in by looks, battery life, no earbud and some Amazon reviews is the Samsung wep...

i like the motorola ones. i have an H500 or similar. just dont buy the one wear the mouthpiece opens - i didnt have muhc luck with it.
have u considered buying a stereo BT headset for streaming mp3s? i will get one when they get a little smaller...

No, I don't even know about downloading music to the phone yet, but I'll probably get an essentials kit and give it a try. I listen to sports radio all day if I listen to anything.
I was going to order an essentials kit when I ordered a case from day deals (is it?), but they haven't returned my email from a couple weeks ago to see if they sell them.... đ

well i wouldnt bother with the essentials kit.
i just bought a 2 gig card off ebay for $50.
it comes with the adapter so u can put it in your pc and copy mp3s directly over...
as far as resizing mp3s to sound better thru the stereo BT, i read that too on this forum, but i havent heard it anywhere else, so not sure...

Yeah, either way I need to get some kind of kit or adapter. No broadband in my area for cell phones yet, so I'm screwed there.
No voice activation on the h500, at least not that I read on Motorola's site. Plus Amazon's reviews said something about it falling off people's heads đ

I use the expensive Jabra JX10. It has voice command, but for being an expensive product I can't really say it lived up to all the expectations that it should have. It seems whenever I use the phone and make a call it becomes staticy. The voice command is great feature and so is the battery life, but not worth the hassle of the annoying feedback.

I had a Motorola H700. It was crap, especially in noisy places like Vegas casinos, and my wife's car. Literally, useless. I returned it to Verizon. They were surprised, and horrified.
Don't waste your time with crappy headsets. If you can afford it, get yourself a Jawbone. They come in black, silver, and red. Check out www.jawbone.com . Each has 3 microphones, one of which rests on your jaw. It detects when you are speaking, and tunes out all of the ambient noise. This works very well!
If you can't find one, try a Cingular store. That's where I got mine.

I just wanted to update in case anyone else is looking to get a BT for their phone and are undecided.
After looking and reading as much as I could find, which wasn't as much as I wanted, I decided on the Sony Ericson HBH-610a. I love it. It is rather large as reported, but not cumbersome because it fits so darn nice. The sound quality and voice recognition blow the Plantronics 655 out of the water, as does the comfort.
Sure, it doesn't have all the fancy gadgets and isn't what I would say stylish, the buttons are "OK", nothing spectacular. And I'm not a big fan of the dim, green, flashing light, but it paired immediately and works VERY WELL with the enV.
It's a keeper!
