Backup for settings?

Well, 4 1/2 months into this unit, I like it a lot (when it actually does what it's supposed to). However, now on my SECOND device, due to flakiness, "it" seems to be starting over again. I had to hard reset 6 times before sending the first one back, due mostly to the notifications for calendar items not dinging. It happened last week on the new one, so I am somewhat concerned. Is there a program out there that can be installed that will effectively "save" all of the settings, everything from notifications to speed dial settings and everything in between? I fully anticipate the hard resets becoming more frequent, and 4 hours to reset everything is not my idea of a good time

spb backup and a storage card is all you need....it backs up your entire phone....the only problem is if you are already having issues now then it may still have errors when you reload your backup. The best idea is to set everything up without adding apps then create a backup and one by one add an app and backup. that is the only way to make pinpoint any apps causing you problems and be able to go back to before that app....if you know anything about pc's then basically this is like having a restore point.

$%&*#&. Nuts! It figures. I installed the Spb Backup program, and it appears as though I already need to use it! My "notifications" function for "reminders" is silent and invisible again. I called HTC, they said they think it's an Outlook issue, not the phone itself. Oh well, hard reset time AGAIN!!! Is there any indication of when a new device will be out that has either WM6 or another OS, offered by Cingular? I'm ready to consider this $400 8525 experiment an abject failure!

well as for another OS there is palm treo 680, an unlocked version of the sony eric p910a(https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone .php?p=58😎 which i had before and liked it, the moto q9h will be out sometime soon and runs win6(https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone. php?p=1144). The dash which you can buy an unlocked version will be win6 upgradeable in the future is also and option.

The only problem is that none of these are 3G, and now I'm spoiled. I'm going to see if I can find a program that contains alarms so I can work around the problem. I really don't want to do any more hard resets!

OK, change of plans. I took the chance that Spb Backup actually worked, and did the dreaded hard reset, and everything actually came back (most of it, anyway). So, I think I found a combination of things that will work, for now. Thanks for the info.
