I am thinking about buying this phone but i have a quick question about it first. I am not sure how the music player works... i know i need to buy a usb cable for it but is there software that i need to buy for it too?

I also was wondering about that.... because on the lg web site it says software not included with the usb cable.. Most companies give u the software also wen givin u purchase the usb cable.

If a device presents itself as a USB Mass Storage device, then most operating systems don't need additional software to recognize it as a removable disk, and then you can move files to/from it. My guess is that this is the case with this phone.
The phone does come with a music player, so if you copy mp3 files to it, the player will play them.

so according to the manual it, you NEED a micro SD card to use it or is it just recommended?

Considering that the free built-in memory is about 7MB, you can use the music player with a couple of songs stored on the device, but you will run out of memory fast. For all practical purposes, if you want to use it a an MP3 player with hours of songs, you will need a microSD card.

is it true that wen u upload ur mp3's into ur phone there is no id3 tag so u have to put it in urself ??
