USB cables on ebay?
Where did you A990 owners get your USB cable from? Do the ones on ebay work? I was planning on using Windows Media Player 10 to sync music files.

I got it by buying the 'Music Essentials' kit, which also provides you with the earphones that will fit into the 10pin adapter that came with your phone. There's a call answer button on the headphones, for what its worth. I would have prefered to use my own, but these ones aren't too bad.
FYI - I'm finding it easier to put .wmv files (a990 won't play mp3s) on the phone directly through my MicroSD card. Once the card has been formated for your phone, it'll have 4 folders. From your computer, just put wmv files directly into that folder. It's faster than synching with media player 10.

So the earbuds that come in the Music Essentials kit plug directly into the 10 pin connector and don't use the stupid 10-pin to 2.5mm adapter?? Ugh, I don't want to spend the money on the kit, but using my regular earbuds, plugged into a 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapter, plugged into the 2.5mm-to-10 pin adapter, plugged into the phone is really bulky and a pain in the rear. I may have to reconsider.

No no - You still need to use the 10pin adaptor, but that doesn't connect to regular ear phones. Look closely at it and you'll see it's much too small for your regular ear buds.
Indeed it is bulky. Also, as if battery life isn't bad enough, playing music kills the phone in only hours.

Where did you get the drivers for your a990 from? I couldnt find them anywhere.

Not sure what you mean by drivers. I mean, the phone auto-formats the MicroSD card the first time you put it in. Then you have four folders that show up if you look at the card on your computer (using a USB adaptor). Just put the wma files in the music folder and your phone will find them.
