Polyphonic Ringtones BANNED by Verizon?

Wow, so I was not aware that polyphonic ringtones were banned from the LG VX8300 by Verizon Wireless. Or at least that is the way it appears to me. I figured I would go to my usual "free polyphonic ringtones" website (which I used to get a few tones for my old Samsung SGH-X426) by way of the WAP browser on my phone. Went to the site, punched in the ringtone code, went to download it, and what happens? My phone seemingly resets itself! I see the Verizon Wireless logo and it reboots itself. Wouldn't you know it, no new ringtones listed on my phone. What is that all about? Am I doing something wrong? Are they THAT greedy that I cannot even load up a single polyphonic tune on my phone?

I had no idea that they were doing that, but if you look in the forum, it explains how to make your own ringtones. It does cost you a quarter to send them to your phone if you don't have the messages package, but why not just do it yourself?

Thanks for the tip. I had tried that already and could never get the file below 370k and my phone kept telling me the message was too large to open.
