Okay,

So I cant wait to get my hands on the 5300 and 8500..

I am praying that LG fixed the Bluetooth Echo problem. If they did not , they are really going to be in trouble. I am amazed that VZW does not make them fix this echo thing.

You can take a Moto or a Samsung and use 50 different headsets and they all work pretty well..

With the LG8300 you are screwed, no matter what they all ehco back to the outside caller.

Let's hope the new ones are good.

The 5300 looks great because of it's size , I dont care about Vcast.. Just give me a good Speakerphone and Working Bluetooth and a nice keypad and small and I am happy.. I bet alot of people would like the same..

Very funny, when I tried the e815 and a950, I got both static and echo. Right now I am using the Jabra BT500 with my 8100 (sent the 8300 back) and I get 'excellent' reception on both ends. I also have the BlueTrek G2. Sound is also great but won't stay connected. Still say location is a factor.

Hey Mary,

I see it there.. I want to play with it badly..

I wonder if the stores have been getting it when they run out of 5200's.. LIke they did with the 8300..

So on your Moto, when the low battery is doing it's thing, with volume on you hear it every 15 seconds and when you have it on vibrate what exactly does it do ? I am blown away that they would have fixed this.. That was my biggest gripe with Moto..

I still like the 8300 except for the bluetooth.. The batt life is awesome and everything else is good but Bluetooth is aggravating.. I dont think it will be better ont he 5200 or 8500.

I think they probably are using the same chipset so it will probably not be good.

Keep me posted if you hear anything !

theatermax: If you can trust what LG says, the software is exactly the same as the 8100. Minor changes to voice dial and longer video capture. They told me the Bluetooth was not touched. I am not having any problem using my Jabra BT500. Don't like the tone, but it works great. I use this in NJ, NY and Pa. It is clear - both ends, as is the BlueTrek G2. I have tried the HBM300/500, Motos, Mobile Traveler (uncomfortable & never gave it a chance), Voyager 510, Jabra SP500 and JX10 and several unknowns. They all sucked, as I'm sure Mary agrees. However, the one that worked the best was the Scala 500, till the v04 update, when everything wouldn't stay connected. Again, I tried the e815 & a950 and had the same problems with echo/static, but excel...

I'll chip in (haven't done so for a while because all is perfect) - this is the first bluetooth phone I have had. A few people recommended the Plantronics 510 - got it for about $45 and while I don't use it 100% of the time I make/receive a call - thus far it has been a pleasure to use.
