HOW STUPID IS THIS?!!!!
how can a company like verizon or any other company for that matter not no when there new products are coming out. why doesnt lg give verizon a specific date when the phone will be ready and then verizon can tell is customers, hey its coming out on such and such date. why is this such a big secret or something. why cant anyone give me a straight answer. this agrivates the hell out of me. its a cell phone not a life changing thing, why dont they know the release dates. this is so stupid!

actually it makes perfect sense to me looking at it from a business standpoint. They need to move the 8100's before they slide the 8300's out on shelves. If they had both running at the same time which you buy????? So they would have a hard time moving those. The phones will be out soon, some places are alreay carrying them, basically they just have to move the 8100 stock out then the 8300 will be right behind that.

my god i just joined this sight and you can not say one thing on here without people getting smart or nasty with you. and no i don't know how verizon operates or any other cell phone company. if i did i wouldnt have wrote the post.

this is basic stuff. no one is hiding the release date. it's not beneficial for Verizon or LG to have a specific realease date. the people on this board are not at all representative of the majority of cell phone buyers. most people that shop in our stores care more about the color of the phone than anything else. just be glad you at least have resources like this to get more info.

Store level employees know nothing of releases... frankly, if upper level told us, they are sure to leak to the public which would cause a frenzy... bc there is never a set release date in a store... for many reasons... also, just a side note, if it's not a life changing event and it's so stupid, then why are you so angry about it to blame us or get pissed at us? We just sell the service... it's not our fault if we can't give you information we don't have... it's a common mistake customers make and we're really trying to help as much as we can but if we don't know - then we really don't know so please don't take it out on us...

Hey I just ordered the phone over the phone simply by dialing 611. talk to a rep tell them U want the 8300 and in 3-5 buisness days U call their 1800 number and the phone automatically activates itself. Or so the lady on the phone said it would. I'll write back and yet ya know if it works out. Plus I got the Plantronics blue tooth and a leather case without for 59 dollars extra. I thought that was a good deal and all over the phone while sitting in traffic. Hopefully it lives up to it's reviews I guess we shall see.

you guys are taking this Way to seriously. i was venting because i want the phone, thats it. why people are taking this personally and why people feel the need top insult me on a COMPUTER, is beyond me. hope this clears things up. oh and i called customer service they wont sell me the phone because its not available in the north east.

Ok I believe the term everyone is looking for is "rolling launch" That means there are no specific dates. We're already out of 8100 so we started selling the 83's. We didn't even have them out on display yet, and we sold about 20 of them. Pretty good for a small town store. I'm tech and I sold 3.
