Nokia or Cingular Employees... ANY news???
Anyone connected/working for Nokia/Cingular have any inside news on this phone?

The phone has been going through extensive testing, everything from the firmware to the button that opens the phone. advertisement has been in the making for a while now. the manufacture has been producing the phone in large quantities. I expect the phone to be out soon!... So who do i work for...neither, but I did stay in a holiday inn express last night.
Seriously, I've been following this forum and howards forum, I dont think anybody really knows why the phone hasn't been released. I've heard everything from firmware to phone parts breaking or a weak battery, but it could be something as simple as some nincompoop in management came up with the brillant idea of releasing the phone for a special event... like a "back to school special",...

I work for a carrier-
This phone will be given as a gift to a group of employees. The offical launch date is 8/15/06. We have this phone in our inventory system but do not actually have the phones in stores YET.

I just moved to Ft. Lauderdale and went into the local corporate owned Cingular store for some info.
They were quite unhelpful and generally incompetent, which I have found to be the case in most every corporate owned store I've been in with Cingular.
They DID however have a BIG display right in the middle of the room advertising the 6126 in both English and Spanish with a list of features on the phone.
Unfortunately, noone in the store could tell me if it had even been ordered yet.
their response "We don't know when any phones are going to be available until we get them from the company to sell in our stores."
That's customer service for you!

Its been delayed again. Last I heard yesterday they were still working on getting it aproved by Cingular, and that there was no firm date whatsoever. I'm in the southeast market...

Maybe if Cingular finds enough stuff wrong or things they don't like about the phone and sends it back enough times, Nokia will give them a price break so they will keep it in the lineup !!!! Nokia wants to sell some before the replacement or upgraded version comes out. It works for Walmart on new merchandise......Cingularmart !!! 🙄

The very latest news is that it will release for November 21st, just in time for Thanksgiving.....forget it, I'm getting something else ☹️
