Sony Ericsson W810
Unlocked W810i - Can't download games or ringtones (Operation Failed)
I just got this phone. It is unlocked and I am using Cingular with no apparent problems other than downloading games and ringtones. I went on the Cingular site, sent a game to my phone and I go to download it, it goes online, I click "Accept", I get the hourglass, then it says "Operation Failed" I called Cingular, they tried sending me a different game and a ringtone, I can receive these from them into my email, so that part is working. It just won't download into the phone. There was no MEdiaNet in my configuration folder so they had me create one. We went over it a couple of times to make sure everything in there is correct. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

go to the sony ericsson website and download the configurations directly from their site

Thank you for your reply. I did this and am now able to get the ringtones, but still no games. ☹️

I'm having this same issue ☹️ Strangely enough I was able to download 2 games, Oblvion which blows.. and sonic which was alright.. but after that I get operationi failed everytime.

I was able to download a ringtone recently, but still no games. Cingular is still working on a solution for me. I will let you know what happens if they figure this out for me.

So there hasn't been any solutions for you either Icyhot? Because I cannot download cingular games or get my hotmail (and I was able to do all that with my Motorola V551 previously).
