Advice/Opinions
Hi guys. I am thinking about getting this phone if it is released by Cingular. Never been a big SE fan. Mostly Nokia, and specifically S60. I have had the 6682 since September, and before that had the 6620 for a year. I did try the s710 on my 2nd line but it had just horrible reception in my area. Even the 8 sales people at my local Cingular store agreed it was one of the worst reception phones they had ever seen. One in particular now has the W600i and says its better so maybe this one will be as well. I'm willing to try 🙂 soooooooo....how do you guys like your W810's?? How is the built in IM client for yahoo? I have never seen one that is as good as whats included in the Yahoo Go! program I have now on my 6682. You can even do the audible...

Icyhot (aka Ken), I see that no one has yet to reply to your inquiry, so I have taken it upon myself to do so.
Well I have had the phone for 14 days so I figured that was good enough to write a short review. I will say it was smaller than what I expected when I got it, and that means a smaller screen than what I expected, but it is a very sharp and brillant screen. My last phone was a Nokia 6682 and the screen on it seems huge now compared to the one on the W810, but the Nokia's screen is not as crisp. I live in Georgia and this phone has great reception (I had the SE s710a a year ago and it had...

I also had no problems whatsoever on my S710a. I feel it was actually better than most of the phones i've owned in the past. Damn, I miss that phone. Too bad the screen is all smashed...
...Hopefully, The W810 is going to come out with Cingular this month...Whoa! I just got deja vu!

I'm not saying it had bad reception in the major cities, but on the fringe areas that I travel, it was very bad. Everyone in my Cingular store (as well as everyone who works at the store chrissybells works) agreed it had very bad reception. Another issue I had with it was its connectivity with bluetooth was only sucessful about 50% of the time. And I tried 3 different units. I am much more pleased with the w810. Quite possibly the BEST reception I've ever had on a phone.
