i just signed up with cingular last weekend. i picked up the black v3 razr cuz it was the cheapest phone. now question is i have 30 days to return this phone do you think it is worth my money to get the d807 or just wait for the nokia 6126? there is a chance the nokia will come out after my 30 day return period which means i will be stuck with the razr and will have to pay full retail for the nokia.
secondly i have read numerous complaints about the d807. is it true that the earpiece volume is very low? is it lower the the razrs earpiece? also heard call reception and quality were not so good any more info on that. and also how is the battery life, better than the razrs or worse? and lastly the UI is it sluggish like the razrs? sorry a...

how is the battery life? is it similar to what they report? 5 hours of talk time and stuff.
...
i can charge mine and use it for 3 days without charging it again. fairly heavy user also. about 2000 to 2500 minutes in a month. days, nights, in network, etc. all included.

MY IS NOT SOO GOOD IF I USED IT A LOT IN THE DAY I NEED TO CHARGE IT LIKE @ NIGHT & I REALLY DONT TALK MUCH BUT I DO TEXT, PLAY & USE THE MEDIA NET SO MAYBE THATS WHY.

Depending on how many features you use and whether all at once or seperately, your battery life will be affected. Such features include Bluetooth, camera, media net, playing any game or using any application you may have. Also, make sure your backlight is set on the shortest timeout period. This will also improve battery life. Signal and network strength also play a major factor in battery life.Mine last's for 1 - 1 1/2 days, depending on how much I talk, with all other factors taken into consideration. Remember, the harding your phone is working, the shorter the battery life will be. This phone is very much worth buying in my opinion, but remember, take advantage of your 30 day return policy and see for yourself. This goes to ANYONE who buy...

I have the d807 also; the earpiece volume is low, battery life is good; The reception isn't as good as it should be but not terrible. If you live in a low signal area than this wouldn't be a good phone for you. Other than those negatives it has a great display, nice slide action, good camera.

Is this a plastic or metal cased phone because for me that will make a difference in whether it is worth buying or not

I love it except for the restriction on the number of characters for mp3 names. I had hell trying to shorten the names of some of my mp3's with long names (ex. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge). Outside of that, all of the volume setting are fine and the reception is great. A nice phone for the price. Also see Best Buy this week, they have it for 129.99 if you plan on buying.

Yes, earpiece is low. A friend from work got it and I played with it. WTF is UP with this trend? All these phones with low earpieces?RAZR, SLVR, w810, now this on too?
I tried my friend's d807 and I didn't like the earpiece at all. Not only it is low, but calls are not clear at all.
Camera: I took some pictures and they looked grainy. They looked grainy on the phone screen, I should had sent a pic to my email addrss to see if they look any better, but I doubt it. The pics on the d807 looked just like the pics I take on my old d415.
I really thought this phone would be better.

That is a little harsh. The pics are decent for a phone. I have had mine for a few weeks and the earpiece is decent also, everyone makes that sound like its awful but I say it is one of Cingular's better phones!
