Do I have to convert from WMA -> MP3 to transfer to SCH-A930 using Bitpim?

Or is there a way to enable MP3 playback ability with ringtones?

Does Bitpim even support WMAs?

And.. a cable comes with the SCH-A930, correct?

And one last question: My Macbook Pro has Bluetooth reading capabilities (I believe..) so I can communicate wirelessly with Bitpim somehow and not have to even worry about a cable?

as for mp3s, i think this phone only plays wma files, but i haven't been able to make it work.
You'll need to buy a memory card and the cable in order to get stuff from your mac to the phone and vise versa.
I just bought the phone yesterday, and i'm still trying to get music to work on it from my mac. >☹️

so there's no built-in storage space for mp3s? you HAVE to buy a mini-SD card?

I wonder if the cable I have for my LG VX6000 is compatible with this phone.. I hope so.

Can anyone post a link to a compatible cable for the SCH-A930?

And hellboy, post here if you figure out how to get music to work on it from your mac.

I'm pretty sure bitpim should do it.. I'm just confused as to what file format to use..

It will play mp3s as ringtones, but I believe there's a size limit, so using that as a music player is not really practical. But you can bring in mp3 files to use as ringtones.

No, bitpim does not support WMA.

No, the a930 does not include a cable, and the cable for your VX6000 will not work.

Yes, bitpim works with bluetooth. To use it, you must first set up the phone with your Mac in the Bluetooth Preferences. Once you do that, bitpim will talk to it.

I got my Mac and my phone synced with the bluetooth.. they are paired. And I see the open bluetooth connection in the Bitpim settings.

But when I try to access the file system, it just keeps trying to access it by opening different speeds and all that, and then gives up.

If you could add me to aim and help me out, that'd be awesome.
