Another garbage phone from LG

Jun 26, 2006, 1:01 AM
LG should stop manufacuring phones for Cingular, or just stop making GSM phones period, they suck at making GSM phones and should just focus on CDMA phones which they probably do best.

Have you even used this phone? Why talk trash about the phone when it hasn't even released yet? In just a few hours it will be available to customers. Let's hear it from them whether or not this phone sucks. Mmkay?

i think this guy wants the phone, people--give him what he wants, you'll get your revenge when you see what he writes in the reviews

No, actually Anxiovert has a damn good point. None of us have used or sold this phone, ergo, we have no idea whether it's any good or not. I tend to stay away from LG's myself, specifically because I prefer high-end phones. However, as was stated earlier, not everyone likes high-end stuff and this is for them.

Even though I doubt LG's quality based on my past experieces with thier products I still get plenty of people who love their LG's years after they bought them.

Gotta love it when the Cingular fanboys come and defend their phones. Still, we dont need another phone like this. There are plenty out there. Cingular needs a nice high end phone with a QVGA display again.

So you want Cingular to have no free phones or low range phones. Would you rather have Ericsson make the cheap phones then??? The newer LG's are pretty good.

So I work at cingular and I am holding a demo (working version) of this phone and let me tell you: yes the c1300, l1400, c1500 and c2000 are pieces of ****. however, the cg300 is actually pretty below average but it is okay. the samsung d407 still works way better for push to talk. Also noted this new LG CG225 feels actually pretty nice. It has a good feeling and the speaker phone is amazing. the only problem is that who knows how well it will do with reception as LG is noted as having really extermely weak reception. Everyone in my store has actually stopped selling LG all together. Hopefully this phone will give us some confidence back in LG before they drop the CU500 on us. And on a side note, the CU320 is a really good phone but sadly ...

thats y i named this thread "another garbage phone from LG", Lg imo has more experience in cdma but i guess they are trying to expand to gsm plus LG has horrible RF, HORRIBLE

, but the LG CU500 is making drool right now, when they release UMTS/HSDPA in my area im gonna put my d407 to rest and get the LG CU500, i wonder how thin it's gonna be

the lg ***s came by 2 weeks ago with a working CU500 and i was not impressed. for one, the music comes out of the ear speaker so when the phone is closed, the music is very low. second, the hinge feels like garbage. it just flaps around. anyway, just wanted to let you know the interface is cool and it looks sexy, just its kinda big and flappy... like an ugly girl would be.

Since you have seen the actual cg225, does the external display have that fake color background that looks like trees and clouds?

Or, is it just a plain non-color display?

The reason I ask is because there are some pictures floating around that show it with just a plain non-color external display (with no "color" background).

Just so you know, LG actually has the least returned handsets with Cingular. LG's return rate is a little over 1%. If you want a handset with a huge return rate, buy the RAZR, which has a 40% return rate. Yes, 40%. And don't give me that "it's the top selling handset either. The more you sell, the more will come back . . . " garbage. 40% of them come back. That's more then 1 in every 3 sold. If you work at Cingular, just go look at your returns and you'll see what I mean.

The 1300 did have a few issues, but the rest of the handsets are actually doing very good.

This is an entry level handset. It's going to be basic. It's not going to have all of the great HSDPA features. It's a basic, inexpensive handset for people who wan...
