usability on other networks/providers?
would it be possible to use this phone with another provider? Where I live, Nextel's coverage is miserable, but the phones offered by my carrier are ridiculously crippled and fragile.
I understand that you can unlock phones so that they will work with any SIM card, but does that only work when using the same type of network (CDMA, GSM, IDEN)?
apologies for my lack of tech knowledge- my razr died a horrible, unceremonious death and I'm only just learning about most of this stuff.

😁 GREAT NEWS - First of all, i feel your pain about the fragile phones, that's why nextel 4 life. Anyway, i found a gentleman on ebay who for $10 will send you directions on how to change the ODE number for your nextel phone. This will inturn provide you with the signal from Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile, etc. However this operation will ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY work if your phone says no service and not just NEXTEL or 1 bar.
