Increase Volume??

Lauratwin

I know I saw a post about increasing the overall volume on this phone, but I can't find it. My phone seems a little too low when I'm listening to a caller.

Can someone give me the site that tells you how to hack into it? I've never done anything like that, but I want to take a look at how to do it.

Other than that, I really like my unlocked V3i w/Itunes from Wireless Experts on Ebay.

Thanks!
Laura

Do you see the little phone incon on the left side of the itunes menu(it's right there with your mem card desription)? You have to just drag the songs right onto that tiny little icon I was trying ALL kinds of stuff before I realized that's what the instructions meant.

I hope that all you need to do , in your case. Let me know if that doesn't help.

The problem I'm having is the "icon" never shows up. What I did was once I got the phone I created a phone list and hooked up the phone both with power on and off and I-tunes never displays the icon so I went out and bought a 256MB card inserted it in the phone and formatted it and still I-tunes never shows the icon. Windows XP now says it's a unknown device-what am I doing wrong?

And you have Itunes software installed on your computer, right? And you're signed in to an account on Itunes, right?

I have the software installed but I don't have an account-I was creating a playlist from songs on my hard drive. Do you need an account 😲

Yes. The instructions in the manual say you have to sign in. It only takes a second to set up an account. If that works, I'm extremely happy to have helped!! I'l keep my fingers crossed - but that must be it!! Sounds like everything else is fine.

Ok dude, you have one of two problems.....either you think you have the phone with itunes, and youd ont, which i doubt, or you have your connection settings set to data/fax....... go to settings, and then go to connection setting....there should be a little thing there that says usb setting..... Make shur that it says memory card in that little spot, becuase if it says data fax, then you cant do the itunes thin....
You dont need an accounnt do trnasfer music also....

Now, Laura, or whatever your name is......to make the thingy louder, you are gonna edit your gain table.....you are gonna have to do exactly the oppisite of what i told the other guy.....you are gonna have to set you connection to data/fax to do this.....hackthev3i.com has e...

Yeah, my name is Laura. You're right, that is something I forgot to tell him. Can't believe I neglected to do that! My manual says that - the very first step! My bad!!

Is editing the gain table a very big deal? I've already downloaded the software that the web site says to use. I need to set aside some time to do that tomorrow.

I wouldn't say my volume is horrible, fortunately. I don't like the idea of having it set on 7, and still feeling like I'd like it a little louder, though. I don't want to feel like I have to have my ear precisely in the right spot to hear well, you know?

Thanks for the info.

No, editing the gain table is not a big deal.... it is just a matter of basically turning up your volume a tad bit, jsut so you ca hear a little better.....i recomend using the gain table editer thing if you have not had any experiance with seem eidting before... but you are gonna have to instal a bunch of software to get eveverything to work.....i recomend you read that website fromt he beggining to the end, because it will reallly help you understand what to do.....

Actually it was my USB cable-I never thought about trying a different one since it was new out fo the box but I tried another one I had and my I-tunes work perfectly. About increasing the volume is this rather easy to do?
