UTStarcom PPC-6700 / XV-6700 / HTC Apache
Using as a Modem w/ laptop, faster speed than 240kb??
I use my xv6700 as a modem with my laptop. i am only able to get a connection speed up to 240kb. is this the max? is there a way to get a faster connection from it?
when i read the guys post on this site, for "how to use your xv6700 as a modem" he said at the end of his post that the speed will be around 600-700kb.
any info on this would be greatly appreciated...

I am trying to get this to work on my computer but am having no luck. I tried every thing mentioned in your prior post but when I try to connect it just says connecting and never does. any sugestions?

I believe there is an option on the settings for the dialer, once you have your XV6700 on modem mode, you can select the speed you wish to use, mine connects to the maximum speed I think is around 920kb? something like that, HTH.
