Ok, I do understand that OBEX is disabled. I don't like it, but I can understand it. I don't really need to use the phone as a bluetooth modem (though I think you CAN tether it via USB and use it as an ev-do modem). However, I DO need it to do 3 things, and I'm not sure how OBEX would affect them:

1. Connect the phone/PDA to a bluetooth keyboard like the Stowaway one. This would be for extended writing sessions.

2. Print Word docs and other types of text docs to a bluetooth printer, like the Pentax 3+ or any other type of bluetooth capable printer.

I too would also like to be able to blietooth it to a GPS receiver. I dont want to buy a GPS receiver though to find out it doesnt work. So if anyone out there has a Bluetooth GPS and Verizon XV6700, please let us know.

As for Stowaway keyboard, I will test mine out tonight on my 6700 and let you know.

I went to Think Outside's website to get a driver for the 6700 and it is listed as "Your product is currently being tested: Check back here for updates."

I am temoted to try a driver for another HTC built PPC phone. I will let you know if it do.

While i'm waiting for my XV6700 to arrive, I'm still trying to call around to see if I can get these answers.

I contact Verizon Wireless customer support, they say that they have no idea, and to contact Audiovox for all my bluetooth questions.

I contact Audiovox, and ask them if this phone will support the Stowaway keyboard with OBEX disabled. They literally said *we have no clue.* I didn't even get to bluetooth printers and GPS receivers. They're like *OBEX? Huh?* I think I would have died on the spot if they would have said *what's bluetooth?* but I was half expecting it. 😁 😁 😁

I guess you really need to take your faith in your hands and squeeze if you're an early adopter of this model. Anyway, the search goes on, and onc...
