Exchange Server 2003 SP2 & Direct Push

Does anyone know if this Windows Mobile 5 device works out of the box with the new Direct Push and Remote Wipe capabilities found in the newly released Exchange Server 2003 SP2?

Or will there need to be a device update in order for those features to start working?

As of now, no WM 2005 PDAs or PDA/Phones are capable of true push pull that we have been waiting for.

The hold up is a catch 22. Microsoft is not releasing to the public the extra software component to make this feature work becuase it apparently is hardware dependent and needs modification based on the device (thats why there are no Auto WinMobile updates like in WinXP). MS will provide the software to the hardware vendors to integrate into their devices. So the catch 22 is that the vendors are reluctant to integrate this feature. Especially if the carriers (Verizon, Sprint, etc) dont want competition of a free push/pull service over IP to compete with their Blackberry or EVDO premium service fees.

So in a nutshell, wait til Win Mobi...
