I saw this too and almost decided that I'd leave Cingular to go to Tmobile for this exact reason (I AM indifferent to their customer service departments... they both suck). However, T-Mobile's high-speed data network (or lack thereof) is highly inferior to Cingular both in coverage areas and performance. So the choice to be made is do you want the phone with T-Mobile and have Wi-Fi and dedicated music buttons, or do you want the phone with Cingular and have EDGE. As much as Wi-Fi is attractive, I'd rather have EDGE so I can assuredly get high-speed data wherever I am. (This of course is ONLY feasible with unlimited data plans, which I have with Cingular.)
