HTC 2125 / 2100 (Faraday)
2125 not found by Windows Media Player?
I cannot get my Windows Media Player (v.10) to recognize my 2125. I have shut off my firewall and have sync my device. I can transfer files, update outlook ect. but cannot sync media file. I have active sync 4.1 and when I try to sync files through active sync it tells my that I must partner with WMP. I go to WMP and press F5 to refresh but still get nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also have the same problem when trying to transfer songs from Napster.

I had the exact same problem. It turns out that if you install WMP 10 after you install ActiveSync the 2125 will not be recognized but this is easily fixed. Just go to add/remove programs on your PC, choose Microsoft ActiveSync 4.0 and click "Change", then choose "repair" when prompted. After ActiveSync reinstalls you should be good to go. 🙂
